2025 Draft: RBs

Another guy getting the Sweet Feet comps

It's safe to say there's going to be some serious depth late at this position to the point where there's likely to be a few UDFA gems.

The Pats have only 3 RBs on the roster. Wouldn't be surprised to see them pick one in the 3rd round.. Heck. Wouldn't be surprised if they double dipped.

Round 3 is likely where a little bit of a run at RB starts but I think the true sweet spot for RB isn't until Round 5.

The likes of LeQuint Allen, Ollie Gordon and Woody Marks are landing there.

In general, digging having three picks in the 7th round as it stands. With the two earlier ones, should be some guys available they may have projected on their team board a round or two earlier in the 5th-early 6th range.

Then to have the third 7th a little later to lock in a guy who might have otherwise been a priority UDFA and avoiding competing with some of the other 31 teams.

For the criticism this draft class is getting for the lack of blue chippers, it sure has a more interesting day 3 than other drafts in recent memory—especially at the back end.

It does tend to always play out that way for me after analyzing so many players lol

RBs in both rushing and receiving yards. I categorically deny that this is a Lequint Allen post.

RBs measured on their forty time and their 10 yd split.

Kyle Monangai - Excellent 10 yard split, poor forty time.

Actually, RB is a serious need. We have just Stevenson (Mr. Fumbles) and Antonio Gibson (who's good, but wasn't used enough). If just one gets injured or Stevenson keeps fumbling, do we just get another FA JAG? We need to draft at least 2. I would go with any two of the following: Omarion Hampton, Nicholas Singleton, Devin Neal, and Raheim Sanders.
Vrabel will run the ball and play defense first.

Thats how he took the Titans as far as he did with Tannehill. This will take the pressure off Maye who looks like he could be a top NFL QB.

Thanks Manx, i didnt want Hampton enough yet...

Yup. I think he's ideal for the Vrabel offense as envisaged by the below post. The issue is, how to get him?

It also takes pressure of the WR room that could benefit from the lesser attention a play-action orientated offense generates.

Gotta hope he's there at 38. Is he worthy of a trade up with this OL?

It's hard to justify. Maybe if they can pick up an additional pick from a trade down or trading Milton. You'd have to ask yourself what the benefit of upgrading from a Quinshon Judkins to Hampton is compared to the value of the pick you're using. As much as I love Hampton, I don't know if I can.

Agreed. I wouldnt trade up either. Adding both Hunter and Hampton has me salivating tho.

Me too. If they ended up drafting Hampton on the night, I know I'll be punching the air.

Even with Brady when the Pats offense abandoned the run for whatever reason the offense would struggle at times.

It was all on Bradys shoulders.

They're going to have to do some serious work on the left hand side of the OL to get a run game going though and if it's going to be through the draft, we can't expect them to get up to speed in season one.
