I don't see any obvious answers at FS out there now, but I could be missing someone.

Saints fans are genuinely delusional. They still think Loomis is some cap czar for his continuous kicking the can down the road.

They’re so frustrating when they sign guys like this only to go 7-10 yet again.

I’m going to guess there isn’t much out there left in FA land. I suspect they are looking at trades to fill needs.

Interesting note: None of the FA Patriots have signed anywhere.
There are a ton of free agents left. This is where playoff s d championship teams are created with solid veterans added as starters and depth. The deepest team with the fewest weaknesses usually beats the flashiest team.

We have one decent G one guy who missed all but 2 games last year who could play C or G and no one else who has shown they can capably play.
They started at times because we had the worst ol in football.

It is a severe need.

And they can focus on many needs at once, or werent you paying attention yesterday?

How a fan of this team could watch the OL play the last 3 years and think adding capable players is “back burner” is beyond my comprehension
Because we have 2 of the 3 positions filled, and 2 inhouse candidates for the other. Fix OT and the line is good. If Vrabel doesn't like the 2 inhouse candidates, or prefers to leave Strange at LG, then yes we have an opening for a G or C. But we don't know that, and seeing no moves yesterday could indicate the Patriots see this as low priority.

Brissett gets a job before Mac jones
Mac still thinks he's a stud that just needed more fun.
He's looking into the Flock of teams chasing him....wants to make sure there are plenty of fun houses and carnivals within driving distance.

He'll be signed soon for ~45m per.

Why would anyone like the “in house candidates” who have been abject failures?
I guess we think WR is a low priority too huh?

I just don’t understand why you would want to settle for failures after seeing how devastating the OL has been.
Do you really think the best plan is to throw Gus who gave proven they suck out there and not try to do better?

FA isn’t the only way to improve. Admittedly pretty ballsy trading down twice, but if the board fell this way and the Pats pulled it off I’d attempt a backflip.

Loomis has some solid kompromat. It's the only conceivable explanation for his continued employment. And we're talking like unnatural acts with common barnyard animals level kompromat

That was a low money deal for Reid, surprised they weren’t in on him.

We have the resources. If the owner is unwilling to spend them that’s a different issue.
Bogus claim. All teams have to spend to the cap. Only difference is cash up front, or paid out over cap duration.

That is not true. Teams are not required to spend to the cap. We didn’t come close last year

But...but...but...But we got a Disgruntled BENCHED RT to come over and play LT!

FKN GENIUS!

They have to spend to the cap over a three or four year period. We didn't spend last year which is why we have all this money this year. It has to be spent.
