We don't know what Marrone thinks of Onwenu, Sow, Robinson, Strange, D Andrews, and J Andrews. The cupboard isn't bare at the IOL positions, and the lack of action yesterday on G's and C's suggests he might be OK with what we have. He may think Robinson can be the starting LG and Strange the starting Center.

Same goes for Wallace at T, I'm very curious what Marrone thinks of him.
We were supposed to be in on Will Fries and the rumour coming out of the combine was that they were looking for a mid-level centre. So let's just wait and see.

We have 2 inhouse candidates in Sow and Robinson, both of whom have flashed talent and could be coached up.
Respectfully disagree that either has flashed anything other than abject assness.

If C isn’t a need then LG is.
That is fair. It also depends on the Pats' assessment of Robinson, Sow, J Andrews, and possibly Wallace if the Pats draft a RT like Trapillo. At least we have possibilities at LG, even if unproven.

Who do we have as a possibility at FS? EDGE? LT? WR1?

Funny you say that. In California, a man won a 2 Billion Dollar Lottery Prize, After taxes, the lump sum payout was LESS that a half billion. Most of the 1 and a half billion dollars in taxes were California State Taxes. The IRS actually took a small percentage by comparison. If I'd won that same prize here in Wisconsin, I would have taken home over 1 and a half billion after taxes.
You win todays initial prize for not understanding how things work AND not looking it up before posting. I'm starting to think it's America's greatest export.

$2 Billion dollar lottery prize - PowerBall and Megamillions advertise the payout if accepted as multi-year payout. If taken as lump sum it's approximately half. So we're at $997.6 million based on Forbes .

$997.6 Million - Federal automatically takes 24% minimum of anything over $5k. Your final bill will likely be more as it's based on your winnings plus your other income but in this case they maxed out at 37% so left with $628.5 million.

BUT BUT BUT HUUURRRRR California Taxes - California doesn't tax lottery winnings but your entry in this contest wins because your State, Wisconsin, would add on a tax of 7.65% for a cool $76.5 million in taxes.

That calls for a banner.
Fair to say Indi fans are not really on board with this.

The boundless optimism of some fans never ceases to amaze me.

Ummm. . . . No.

When lottery winners get paid over time, they get the money through an annuity that earns compound interest. So, for example, a $2 billion jackpot costs something on the order of $1B to fund.

When lottery winners take the lump sum, they get the cash that would've been used to purchase that annuity. So, no, most of that guy's taxes were federal, and the same would be true in Wisconsin, so you'd end up with around $500M as well.

Just food for thought haha

Last year Lowe ranked 102/141 for overall OT grade on PFF. It was a more respectable 62/141 as a pass blocker and dreadful 132/141 as a run blocker.

They also absolute bottom of the barrel players at LG (Jordan/Robinson), Center (Ben Brown) and RT (Jacobs) alongside him. That made it really hard to help Lowe at LT and he was probably their best pass blocker so he's not the first guy to get help anyway. They're reportedly active in the Guard market so LG could be improved soon. Strange at Center should be better than Ben Brown. They added Moses who's an improvement at RT.

The question they have to ask themselves is that if you brought the rest of the line to respectability, how much does that elevate Lowe? It seems like a lost cause as a run blocker, but he could be a decent enough pass blocker maybe that he doesn't get Maye killed. I don't think it's absurd that he could be ok as a stop gap if they can't address it in the draft.

If we're going into the draft with Lowe as our LT, there is no way they don't address it in the draft, probably with pick 4.

The LT prospects are what they are. They don't get better or worse based on who we do or don't sign. The only option at LT this year who really makes it no longer a need was Alaric Jackson. Stanley is old and injury prone. Cam Robinson is a stop gap. Dan Moore is a "meh" starter. Jaylon Moore was a gamble. Everyone else is a dart throw. If they think there's a long term starting LT on the board that probably should be the pick no matter what. The only exception would be if you think there's an absolute MONSTER on the board at another spot.

So I hesitate to make taking a LT at #4 a byproduct of who we do or don't sign. If there's a LT on the board we should take him and we always should have even if we signed someone. If there's not a good LT on the board in their minds, then there isn't one and it doesn't make sense to take him just because we don't have anyone signed because if he's not a good LT then wtf does that do for us.

If Hunter is available no way they draft a LT over him unless they get a haul for trading back to 6 or 7 that includes an additional 2nd rounders.

Ideal draft

Trade 4 to 6 with raiders and you get raiders 2nd rounder

At 6 - draft will campbell/ membou

Trade 2nd rounder to bengals - get tee Higgins

Trade Milton + 3rd rounder and 4th rounder for Pittsburg first -

21 pick - draft conerly Jr

Then start drafting BPA from 2nd to 3rd rounds.

We get 2 LT or 1 LT, 1 RT or LT, LG and also WR1 in Higgins

Hunter won’t be there unless we trade up to 2 with Cleveland.
