Mekari has played league average starting caliber football at literally all five offensive line positions in his career, which is just insane. Very valuable guy.

The most blatant example of tampering that I can recall. You don't get rid of your starting QB days before the start of the free agency tampering period without already having another starting option in your hip pocket.

Mekari is literally a 5 position player. He can do any role. Probably best fit at tackle, athletically, but he can and has played whatever. He was Baltimore's LG this year.

I thought it's because they told him to prepare to only play guard and he bulked up and then the season started and immediately told him he was playing tackle.

I agree and I don't think they'd be signing Mekari to play LT. Most likely, he would compete for LG (and maybe C) but be able to be a "break glass in case of emergency" shuffle candidate for LT or RT if **** hits the fan midseason.
