Never hurts to have two lock down corners....we could just play man to man...and leave a high safety....then flood the mid-short areas with 8 defenders...
It will allow the pass rush time to get to the QB. Now if we can get an overpowered DL, the QBs with have to throw quicker and that is a recipe for INTs. Sign Murphy, draft Graham and sign Milton Williams and count the sacks and INTs

I hope Vrabel is on the phone with him right this minute.. also DT Allen was also released from commanders.
Illegal tampering, are you trying to get us more draft picks taken away?

I'd much rather have Godwin than DK, if his medicals check out. You have to pay both of them a boatload but no draft capital for Godwin and he is a better fit for their offense.

The ankle injury is a concern but in most cases with the proper treatment, players can return to their pre-injury state. That's why you have team doctors.. One key factor is how severe the ligament injuries were. Make sure you have the foot/ankle orthopedic surgeon in Boston review both the original MRI and latest MRI and examine Godwin's ankle and if there are any concerns ongoing (laxity of the ligaments, incomplete range of motion or evidence of early arthritis) you walk away.

I fear, however, that I am going to end up with blue balls for both Godwin and Stanley, when they re-sign with Tampa and Baltimore, respectively, this weekend.
I fear that you may be proven right.

Honestly if the Pats think they can sign Godwin and he’ll be healthy, and they can get another guy like Slayton to go with him, that’s probably fine. If Polk or Baker develop, plus further development from Douglas and Boutte, it’s a decent crop. As long as the OL is really improved they can produce.

When you have so many other needs and spending money on a top free agent CB takes away from paying good money for another position, it is bad. I would rather the Pats pay more for say an edge rusher than the #2 CB position. You can only pay top dollar for so many players in free agency.
Plus we want Hunter.

We could pay Stanley 3/63M with a void year, Teven Jenkins 3/41M, Murphy 4/92M with a void year, Godwin 3/66M with a void, Jevon Holland 4/75M with a void, Jamien Sherwood 5/41M, and Milton Williams 4/80M with a void year and still have 35M left, so they could sign some several very good players and still have a ton of money left.

Do it!

Who the heck is gonna be the QB there? They’re picking 18th.
Howell? If we want to make a trade with Seatle then can we pursue Charles Cross instead. While I am a proponent of building through the draft a stud LT is a very rare thing, so I would be very willing to trade for one.

I would trade pick 4 and 69 for Cross. If we look at last year in what was considered a strong OT class there were a handful of OTs that performed well. Cross is a stud, but I doubt Seatle would consider it given he is still on his rookie deal.

I am working the phones like crazy

We having a hard time finalizing a Trade for the injured Aiyuk...I find that very hard to believe: nobody is beating the 49ers door down in this scenario.

Is this a legit source?
