Bruins 2024-2025

The stick may have broken but the fail was just as big in Zafarov's decision making that was an ill advised pass attempt by any measure.
Yup a but risky. But I feel it wasn't a total boneheaded decision, the pass was there to be made, but the risk reward was not in his favor especially with 18 seconds left. Either way, I wasn't expecting the B's to find a way to win. They have not shown themselves to be reliable often or lately.

I guess they weren't close on the extension.

Trade Sweeney next

Does anyone else think the compensation for Marchand was weak? A 2027 second round pick that could become a 2028 first round pick?

There is an argument but the problem is he isn't signed beyond this year. That diminished his trade value.

At this point, he is nothing more than a rental for FLA.

Yep, Marchand is a pure rental for Florida. His next contract won't fit under their cap. There's a pretty good chance he's back in Boston next year

What do you handicap those chances?

IMO less than 50/50

My crystal ball is more like a Magic 8 Ball but since you ask, my guess is closer to 70/30.
