Do you want Will Campbell at 4 assuming Hunter and Carter are off the board?

Forgot about him.

This gets to a point where you have to genuinely ask how many guys this year are truly top 10 talents.

I like the total depth in this class, but there’s only only 3-4 top 10 worthy guys. It has to make us reconsider turning our noses on Campbell as a prospect.

Do you take a guy who may have to switch to guard, but truly is the only linemen that’s arguably a top 10 talent? Or do you reach for a tackle that you see more as a mid first round kinda guy?

What’s so frustrating is that there’s a ton of tackles that feel like mid to late 1st round guys, but you really take a gamble that they’re all gone by pick 38.
It's more up in the air now but my gut tells me they stick with Campbell because of character. still, I'm on the 'pray for Shedeur top 3' bandwagon.

I also wonder if someone is going to Travon Walker themselves into taking Jalon Walker over Carter due to the injury concerns lmao

I doubt it. Maybe if Carter had had surgery. But as they say in draft land, it only takes one.

Wrong thread

I would l Ike to ask: is there anyone you all think at tackle could rise into the top 10? Thoughts on Simmons if he looks healthy?
I'd prefer Simmons over Membou all things being equal but it's hard to ignore the injury.

The Campbell wingspan is truly bad. Ive pivoted to Simmons at 4 regardless of injury.

It's official Campbell has 32 5/8 inch arms. Well under the 33" standard. In fact it's 7th percentile... 93% of left tackles in the class have longer arms.

At least his size is close to advertised at 6'6 319 lbs.

article: MSN

How does this change his draft stock? Do you still want Campbell at #4 or you would rather pass and pick a different prospect like Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter now?

He has question marks of his own over arm length and coming in undersize.
Yup, Mason Graham has 32" arms even shorter than Campbell and weighted in at only 296 instead of 320. Lots of questions due to size now. Draft stock took a hit just like Campbell but how far down does it push these two prospects?

I think things are up in the air now after Hunter and Carter. I'm looking forward to the big boards and top 100s we see in the coming week.

You'll take a guy that has an injury he may not recover from, because his arms are 3/8 of an inch longer?

I'm a big Simmons fan. But some of you go way too overboard based on some of these measurements.

Simmons may never play at his previous level again(which was only a portion of one season), and you'll take that over a guy who could be an all pro guard?

I think it always should've been Carter and Hunter. Although if his arms were 34", I could see Campbell over Hunter. But its not.

Most expected this with Campbell, so I don't see why it changes much. The general consensus on other guys was Campbell, Graham, or McMillan. None of the 3 stood out. Campbell would still be the pick at 4 for me, if no Carter or Hunter. Trading down is obviously the 1st priority.

Campbell’s wingspan is historically bad. I’m not sure you comprehend how bad.

Does that prevent him being an all-pro guard though? I think the Campbell LT game is over but Campbell tested very well and his film does support the idea that he could be a terrific guard.

It's longer than Alaric Jackson, who we all wanted before he re-signed with the Rams.

It's 1/4" shorter than Riamann, who is another current NFL starter with substandard length.

Everyone has continued to have him ranked really high while questioning his length. This was to be expected.

I get people questioning it. But there are current tackles doing it at that length and they don't have other things Campbell has. Neither was as highly regarded as Campell.

AND, that's just the argument about staying at tackle. If the downside is an elite guard, is that really so bad? Plenty of guards have similar length.

Mason Graham came in considerably lighter with shorter arms than expected and didn't work out. Who else should go at 4?

I was never high on Campbell as a Tackle
