2025 LT

while looking at some of the day 3 developmental guys I found Jack Nelson and like what I see. Was curious of other opinions.

SCOUTING REPORT: SUMMARY

Nelson profiles as a high-floor prospect with multi-scheme potential. His experience at tackle and guard positions adds value for teams seeking offensive line depth. Nelson's anchoring ability in pass protection and mauler mentality in the run game indicate starter potential, particularly if moved inside to guard.

Foot speed limitations may challenge Nelson against elite NFL edge defenders. His optimal NFL fit likely lies at right tackle in a zone-heavy system or at guard, maximizing his strength and road-grading ability. Nelson's durability and consistent performance against top Big Ten competition will attract NFL evaluators.

Transitioning to the NFL, Nelson must refine his hand technique and improve block sustainability. His experience in both power and spread offenses at Wisconsin should ease scheme adaptation. Nelson's size, intelligence, and positional flexibility make him a valuable developmental prospect with potential to outperform his draft position in the right system.

Doesn't get a gap blocking score from PFF. Much better zone blocker according to them. I thought he was a RT for some reason. Didn't realise he played LT last season.

Not a deal breaker but there was apparently an incident at Wisconsin that led to his transfer.

"The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Jeff Potrykus reported that Brown hit a teammate during practice on Wednesday. That led the lineman to be kicked off the team."

I like it, he seems angry but that is a finisher
He truly will make people surprised in a good way. He’s a punk. But with elite physical traits. He was in line to be a dominant Wisconsin OT but was kicked off the team. Allegedly for punching a teammate.

If his head is on straight—a big maybe— he can be a plugnplay RT with a MUCH higher ceiling than Caedan Wallace.

But this former five star high school player comes with baggage. His family situation is less than ideal. That’s all I’m prepared to say now. But elite potential.

A late round goldmine.

Wallace is a LT. Wolf told us that on draft night 2024.

No thanks Jermaine Burton

Here's some fun tape on Charles Grant

Looks like a monster beating up alot of AA guys that wont sniff the league, if BB was in charge I wouldn't be surprised to see him come in for a visit (did you know he donated bone marrow to a stranger?) but we won't have an idea of how the new group operates for a couple of years.

The classical music is a nice added touch.

Gotta draft one of the top tier guys. Membou, Banks, or Brown?

Don't know if Membou's an NFL LT physically, so he's gonna have to kill it at the combine athletically.

Would love Banks in the mid-first, after a trade-down or two.

Brown's a Day 3 dude; we need to have already drafted a LT during Day 1 or 2 before looking for him in the 6th round.
