Hope he talked up the clam chowder.
I know this is tongue in cheek, but the seafood in Boston is world class. It’s a selling point. My wife and I are planning a trip just for cuisine and a few of the tourist things we never did in previous trips.

My wife always asks me when we’re going to Boston again, purely because of the food.

Where is the best seafood in Boston/Mass?

I went to Peteys in Rye, NH and it was OK. I read that Browns in Salisbury, MA has declined. Newicks in Concord, NH too. None of these are Michelin star dining, but word of mouth destinations for seafood. In the Northeast there is always that 1 place for this or that. Like Portnoy and pizza.

My Father used to drive to Fitchburg to buy tires and to Lowell for gas because he saved 5 cents a gallon.

If you come into to Boston area. Belle Isle seafood in Winthrop wich is in Suffolk County basically in Boston. Place is excellent staff is excellent. Everything is freshly prepared, wild caught. I heard they get everything from the Atlantic by Gloucester. The cape and Islands also have some of the best seafood around as well.

My personal favorite is Arnold's. It's on rte 6 in Eastham. Best fried seafood on the Cape.

Looks good.

Lots of places pile fries or onion rings up real high and then camouflage spreading a layer of seafood over the top. Not here.

Only open during summer season. Maybe weekends off season but I don't think so.

They are more honest good portion but expensive. IMO worth every penny.

In part nostalgia but moreso just that they are cooked perfectly so it's probably my favorite spot and food on earth.

They do great onion rings too and throw in a lobster roll and you're in heaven.

The original Newick's in Dover is the place for fresh seafood. Concord was frozen food if recall correctly. That location is now a Texas Roadhouse.

There's lot's of little mom and pop places up and down the Maine coast that excel at one thing or the other. I cannot name one in particular. If we make a day of going to the coast, we will usually stop at Newick's, but that's maybe once a year.

Yes, I went to it this past summer go on a weekday though becuase it's jammed fr-Sunday.. I went on a Thursday. What a beautiful getaway it is in hull.. love it out there. You can smell the seafood being prepared as you drive near it on Nantasket ave..

I usually do the same thing go on a week day once a summer with either JT Farnham or Woodman's.

The Cape is typically more of a week long vacation.

And just finding a spot on the south shore somewhere is the easiest bet and plenty of places with seafood just as good.
