So… how will Spags stop the tush push?

You're making me want to fire up my RecTeq this weekend. I may need to throw on a brisket and some sausage now.
How long do you smoke your brisket?

I am sure he has a plan and doesn’t need my help but I will make something up.

Stopping it starts in early downs, try to keep Philly out of short yardage. Against Houston KC had a bunch of run blitzes to prevent Mixon from getting going. Also, at least 40% of the Eagles offensive line is really banged up so they won’t be as dominant in the trenches.

KC did enough in short yardage against the Bills and will have a plan. KC has a good run defense and I expect to focus on Barkley and put the ball in Hurts hands.

Should be an absolute brutal chess match in the trenches, can’t wait.

Vs the Bills, KC ran Hank Strams 65 Toss Power Trap.

The Chiefs are just having fun out there.

I believe the so-called tush push should be ELIMINATED along with the rule that allows ball carriers to be pushed from behind by teammates to advance the ball. I don't know when it exactly happened, but for most of my 78 years it has been illegal to do so. It's just ANOTHER hypocritical rule change that gives lie to their entire push for so called "player safety".

The only way KC stops it is if the NFL changes the rules Saturday night before the game. Like the stupid catch rules that no one knew changed when... oh never mind, you guys know when.

Got your tush push annihilator right here:

Big Vince says bring that weak ass **** on
I miss giant DL. Not many left. Vea, Pierce on Ravens, Jordan Davis.

This is why I'm shocked teams haven't built their offense to exploit it. The Eagles, Lions, Ravens finally did it. We'll see if the Eagles can cross the finish line with this offense next Sunday.

You need a VERY good offensive line and it’s exceptionally hard to do with how shallow the talent pool there is

The OL talent is not what it used to be. What the hell happened to the premier LT's? They've gone extinct.

The way college is set up. It’s not a great farm for LT’s. There’s like one or two quality ones per draft. This year there weren’t any. It’s a ****show

OL or DL players .... just get all the fattest guys out there for a tush fort defense

I smoke it to temp. I pull it at 190 wrap and rest it until it's 195-200 degrees.

But on average it's 12-14 hours.
I have a traditional horizontal wood smoker. I usually smoke it 4 - 6 hours, take out and wrap the brisket in butchers paper, back on the smoker with heat only for approximately 8 hours at 180 - 200 degrees, remove and wrap in towels placed in an old cooler for 2 - 3 hours.

I dont think you stop them with any real degree of success although teams are getting better. In 2022 they attempted it 27 times and made it 93%. 2023 they attempted 42 times and made it 83%. This year they attempted it 25 times and made it 76%. Teams are adjusting to combat it but I still like their chances.

The way I see it if you cant use a player to elevate yourself to block a kick you should not be allowed to design a play in which a player assists another to advance the ball.

You want to stop the tush push then stay out of the short yardage situations.

Brady's QB sneak was almost as unstoppable too.
