My thoughts also...I hope its not true. He cant say stuff about entitlement and then give his kid a job....wtf!Reminds me of the Belichick's. BTW not a single news outlet has reported this.

I don't either.from wiki
On January 14, 2025, Vrabel was hired by the Patriots to be an assistant offensive line coach for the team.[16]
==========
I don't think that this is accurate.
Or Mayo and his brother. Or Andy Reid. Or Mike Shanahan. Or the Ryans.Reminds me of the Belichick's. BTW not a single news outlet has reported this.
It is a big deal if you stand on the soap box and preach about entitlement on day one, I just hope its not true. Even if its position of carrying jock straps it should be earnedOr Mayo and his brother. Or Andy Reid. Or Mike Shanahan. Or the Ryans.
It's almost like everyone does it and it's not that big a deal.
What if he's the best jock strap carrier? It is a big deal if you stand on the soap box and preach about entitlement on day one, I just hope its not true. Even if its position of carrying jock straps it should be earned

How do you know no one cares? I havent had a chance to talk with people who hold positions in the NFL to know if it chaps their arse or not. If it did how vocal do you think they would be? This is a team that currently lacks a culture and an identity. I think its crucial to set the tone early and not have anything that looks "shady" right out of the gate. Is it a big deal if he does now have a BS job, probably not the end of world. I just dont agree. And if he was the best jock strap carrier he would have references other than his pop. What if he's the best jock strap carrier?
Seriously though, no one in football cares about this. These teams are essentially like family businesses. If you work for Pop, you can't be surprised to see Son working the counter. It's only a problem if he's no good and he gets promoted.
If Steve is Bill’s HC replacement when he leaves, what happens to Brian?Probably to NC would be my guess.
I agree...but if its a paid job it should be open to anyone to compete for the position and not a fabricated job especially for him.If he’s working as an intern it’s not a big deal.
Common perk.I agree...but if its a paid job it should be open to anyone to compete for the position and not a fabricated job especially for him.
HC's should be able to create whatever intern jobs that ownership is willing to pay for.I agree...but if its a paid job it should be open to anyone to compete for the position and not a fabricated job especially for him.
I think that the comparisons to Mayo and Belichick is a bit off.Common perk.
Belichick did it twice, Dean Pees did it, Jim Mora, Shottenheimer, Kubiak, etc.
Getting your kid in a door does just that…gets em in the door.
They still have to do the work.
And if anything must be better because everyone assumes they are only there because “Daddy”.
When my kids are older, of they ask me to use my connections to get them started I will.
But I’ll also tell them they better not embarrass me
I would just prefer my kid get started down maybe at the college level and not under my wing. They would get more respect from their peers and the people they were trying to coach. But whatever its not the end of the world.Common perk.

The Belichick kids were hired for glorified intern jobs and worked their way up. Stephen didn't just start calling defensive plays because Bill wanted him to.I think that the comparisons to Mayo and Belichick is a bit off.
It looks like Tyler might get an intern job.
Belichick and Mayo hired their relatives for real jobs. Belichick's sons did a good job. The less said about strength and condtioning last year, the better.
Job fair? Reaching there......HC's should be able to create whatever intern jobs that ownership is willing to pay for.
They should not be expected to open a job fair to fill such a position.
Preaching to who? when? Vrabel's first interview was months ago.All I'm saying is you cant sit in your first interview and preach about entitlement and then hand your kid a job.
