(According to “Dakota in Braintree”) Mayo legal action vs Kraft?

I’m so over this ****. Everything to blame for Mayo’s termination has to do with racism. Why arent any of these ppl talking about how much he sucked? How the team got worse? How the culture within the organization became one of disinterest and blame? I’ll tell you why they dont talk about that. They didnt watch any of the games. They didnt follow the team. So much fake outrage. It’s a problem.
The team had zero accountability. They were undisciplined. I understand that the roster was the worst in the league so you really couldn’t expect more than 5 wins as a best case scenario. But the way they played in the final 4 weeks really cost Mayo his job.

WTF has this forum come to, where some members not only feel compelled to quote an anonymous narcissist whose claim to fame is calling into sports talk radio daily - but to also act as though this same person has "inside information" about the Patriots or alleged legal matters, and that their ramblings are actually worthy of respect and consideration, and deserve their own thread?

Come on, seriously?
It’s the off season? Light hearted banter …Personally as soon as the Pats are done, I’m done. I’ve only watched maybe 2-3 other super bowls that pats weren’t in. I’m almost 60..Won’t waste my time watching other teams and hating on them.

As I said earlier, I think the "Gibson's starting" snafu was sufficient to fire him. Any plausible explanation he could've given Kraft for it would have proved his inability to be a head coach.

- I told AVP right before the game, it’s his fault! (poor planning, should have been decided during the week)
- I told AVP during the week, it’s his fault! (failure to pay attention, didn’t notice that Rhamondre was still part of the script)
- I changed my mind at the very last second for no reason (just an idiot)
- It was all planned out properly but AVP went rogue right before the game for no reason (failure to control his team, own staff doesn’t respect him)
- I made it up to sound good on the radio but never actually tried to make it happen (more concerned about his image than the team’s)

There couldn’t really be any reason other than these, and all of them are very bad for him - all of them are potential cause to terminate

I’m going to sue SB1 for starting this thread. But I’m open to negotiation. In fact I will settle for the thread title being changed to “ Some Meathead in Braintree………”

Unless of course SB1 actually is the meathead in Braintree, in which case I’m going for damages.

Didn't he guarantee more wins this year?

Dakota is a long time caller to Felger and Mazz. Unlike most callers, he's well prepared and has the wits to challenge Felger's ******** and come out on top. At any rate, Dakota has had some "scoops" in the past...whether that's him actually having connections or simply Dakota connecting the dots correctly, who knows. But knowing what we know about Mayo, I don't doubt he'd try to stab Krafty Bob in the back. Mayo never took responsibility for anything other than his "it starts with me" crap. Folks like Mayo never they they are wrong; just the type of person to bring a wrongful termination lawsuit. I'm guessing Al Sharpton is on Mayo's team of advisors...

Also, what was the point of benching Rham? How would Mayo even explain it?

Bill would do it in the game to make the player think about what they're doing and do a better job of taking care of the ball the next time they get in. It's a motivational tactic in the heat of the moment when the player is feeling bad to address the problem.

Mayo hadn't done it in any of the games because he was the friendly coach. He was only goaded into it later by the media and only then he made the announcement that he was benching Rham. It's already too late for the motivation to take effect and presumably the coaches would be working with Rham to try to fix how he's protecting the ball. The benching doesn't do anything at that point. Then, the not following through just made the whole thing a pointless exercise.

It was just a stupid decision by a coach who didn't understand the "why" behind the decisions coaches make. And then he even bungled that.

Mayo said he "guaranteed they will have more than 4 wins" in 2024 last January. They ended up with 4, and the 4th win was one they did not want.

I've noticed a serious drop off in my NYFL viewing just in the last year or two. I still watch the Pats but the other games don't interest me all that much. Certainly not like they used to. I managed to only watch about an hour of the last two games combined and I don't feel like I missed much.

That "media profile" he conjured looks bogus. All I ever have heard from/about this guy is when he calls in to 98.5 to give his "takes."
That should get him at least 10 pages here.

All the stories about Mayo playing cards with the team via Kraft Inc aren't stabbing Mayo in the back.

There was a steady stream of badman Mayo stories that have suddenly dried up for some strange reason.

How do we know if Mayo is wrong when nobody knows the whole truth? I say lay all the cards on the table, so people can decide for themselves. Maybe Mayo has Kraft on a recording shooting his mouth off like a crazy old coot? I would not doubt it knowing Happy Ending Bob rolled in and out of a seedy Florida massage parlor sitting shotgun in a shiny new Bentley like nobody would notice.

He walked it back saying he meant the preseason too.

This thread is like the Seinfeld show. A thread about nothing.

Sat around in a roomful of New Englanders at a ski lodge in Vermont. The woman all became Mahomies .. sickening. Guys were too busy playing quarters…was hoping the Bills could pull it off. Only because that part of the country is absolutely miserable…give the people a reason not to jump off the Peace Bridge
