Barmore and Blood clots

Vet tech for 5 years at an ER hospital and every time I had to go into a room to do a Euthanasia to go over paperwork and talk the pet parents thru the process I would say “We wish this was more of a science, but it really is closer to art. Sometimes things happen we can’t explain.” I can’t tell you how many times I saw patients that should have lived long healthy lives pass and less frequent but it did happen patients that are walking medical miracles that refuse to die. Or the 27 year old chihuahua that Satan refused to take, too hateful and evil. Every patient is different, we really just make our best guess based on lots and lots of evidence, but at the end of the day I would say the biggest thing I have learned, is just how much we don’t know. That’s not black and white at all, in fact Science is the continued pursuit of knowledge, and everything that’s unknown.

Yep. We have been doing animal rescue for over forty years, and we have adopted many older dogs. Our old vet since deceased was wonderful. When we had to make the euthanasia decision, we always relied on him to be the animal's advocate, and went with his advice over our own feelings. Too often, with older dogs in particular, the owner will wait too long, leaving the animal to suffer unnecessarily. I do not criticize them at all: it is a crushingly difficult decision to make. A couple of times, that same vet, in contravention of the laws as I understand it, gave us a dog whom the owners had brought in for some trivial reason ("He barks." "He chewed my slippers." "He smells like a dog.") to be to be put down. We lived off grid in the middle of nowhere at that time, so one was the wiser. Another time the local cop brought us an old three-legged dog whose owner had keeled over in the general store and he knew the dog would be put down if he turned it over. The dog was twelve when we got him and got four more years hopping around with our other dogs off in the boondocks. We have six dogs at present, the newer four from Puerto Rico, where the dog situation is awful.

Adopt a dog, all of you!

Look, it was just a statement. Not really that serious. Not really intended to get this deep. Moving on..
In other words, you were talking out your rear end, throwing stuff at the wall and hoping no one would call you out on it.

Got it.

Got it.
Whatever you term it, it is.

I don't think that there should be any question that a top DT is a priority in building a future top 5 Defense. We have now Barmore, Godchaux, Pharms, and Eric Johnson.

I would note that after coaching, run defense was the number one problem in our 2024 Defense.
