My main want is to shore up the offensive line. Pay a guy like Cam Robinson or Jonah Williams if they hit the market, or either of the two Ravens tackles if they make it to free agency. Draft Will Campbell or Kelvin Banks (whether you trade back or not), and then you theoretically have two starting tackles. That allows Mike Onwenu to kick back inside and hopefully regain his prior form at RG and leave him there. If Andrews is coming back, let him battle it out with Strange at center and then dig through the trash on the roster and pick a LG.
At receiver, they really need to find a #1 guy. The easiest thing to do would be to pay for Higgins if he hits the market, but if the Bengals do surprise everyone, then we would need to switch to plan B, which would be a trade. Offer up a third for DK Metcalf? He signed an extension 3 years ago, but his role seemed to be somewhat diminished this season, and honestly, he seems like a guy who could use a change of scenery. Garrett Wilson would be a home run, but I think it is a complete long shot. Wilson has made some comments over the last year that make it seem like he isn't thrilled to be there, and the Jets already have some young guys that will need deals. I assume a first-round pick would be the starting point, and we would likely have to pay a premium on top of it considering it's the Jets. Wilson almost isn't even worth mentioning due to how minimal the chances of it happening are. Deebo and Kupp are two guys that you could probably trade a mid-round pick for, but I wouldn't be as thrilled with them considering how many games they have missed recently.
On defense, I would try and bring in a few high-to mid-level free agents from the Lions to help jumpstart what Williams will be looking to do. Derrick Barnes at LB looked like he was set to be a key piece on that defense before hurting his knee. If the Lions don't retain him, I would hope we bring in a guy who knows the system at a position of need. Carlton Davis was a solid starting corner in Detroit who, depending on his market, would make a nice tandem with Gonzo on the outside. DE John Cominsky, edge defender, Al-Quadin Muhammad, and LB Ben Niemann would be cheap veteran options from Detroit that could compete for roles on defense. It is just hard to know who Detroit will re-sign with all the injuries they had last year and all the turnover on the coaching staff.
