Brady vs Mahomes

The only time I remember Brady getting mad at refs was the Carolina game when they mauled Gronk in the end zone ,threw the flag and then picked up with no reason given. Otherwise, you are right, when Brady got emotional, it was always over the play of his teammates or his stupid coaches like BoB.
And even then he took accountability afterwards and said they had to play better

You knew these takes would be hot off the grill.

If KC wins it'll give Mahomes 4 SB titles in 6 years.
Brady had runs of 3 in 4 years and 4 in 7 years.
Mahomes would have to win this game and a few more SBs just to catch up to Brady.
He has a chance.

I'd say one of the reasons that Brady is GOAT is he has THAT moment that will still be talked about decades from now... Montana had The Drive, Brady has 28-3... does Mahomes have a standout moment like that yet? Has he led a great comeback when all odds were against him? I'm not sure we've seen that moment yet from him.

Unless we count a sidearm pass that went incomplete in a blowout Super Bowl loss?

The scramble he had vs the Iggles probably the only thing I can think of. But as far as comebacks go I wouldn't use that against him lol you don't want to fall behind

Mahomes needs to win his next 4 Super Bowls. Full stop.

Brady is better.

Mahomes is enjoying the recency bias effect. But the way he lost to the Eagles was humiliating.

He couldn't pull off the comeback that Brady did against the Falcons.

They are leagues apart in clutch factor, decision making, game management, and intangibles.

Mahomes might perform more circus acrobat off script plays that makes the audience go Oooh, Aaaah but Brady makes more winning plays and better decisions on a per snap basis.

Brady''s still the GOAT and the Mahomes jockstrap kissers will have to let that UGLY loss against the Eagles sit for a bit until their boy can prove otherwise.

Patrick has still got a long career ahead of him, and hey he can just ask Peyton Manning, sometimes being second best is still pretty damn good.

It all be almost impossible now for Mahomes to catch Brady.

- Mahomes has 2 complete turd games on his SB resume. Brady never was blown out
- Brady is 2-0 against Mahomes in the playoffs including a SB win
- Mahomes had thrown more INTs in 5 SBs then Brady did in 10
- Brady never relied on athleticism for his play. He studied harder than everyone else and knew where to go before the ball was snapped. That allowed him to get better as he aged. Mahomes isn’t like that, he had relied more on athleticism which wil get worse as he ages.
- the Chiefs are getting older. Kelce, Jones, Thuney… all into their 30’s. Andy Reid is old. Chiefs will need to rebuild the team like the Pats did in the early 10’s. Not likely they’ll be a le to.

It might not be as long as you think. Most QBs start ****ting the bed around 33-34. Maye will be no different if he doesn't take care of his body. Kermit is going to be 30 next season.

KC fans/Mahomes nuthuggers before SB 59: the 2018 AFCCG and SB 55 mean nothing. QB head to head doesn’t matter, they don’t play each other

KC fans/Mahomes nuthuggers after SB 59: Brady lost playoff games to Flacco, Sanchez, Plummer, Foles!

I hope they keep their tears and cope coming. it’s been a great week reading comments from these idiots

I remember a lot of talk around 2022-2023 that Mahomes was going to blow by Brady's regular season passing records. that he would end his career with 95,000-100,000 passing yards, 700-800 passing touchdowns, most completions, etc. he is currently 56,862 passing yards, 404 passing touchdowns, 4,975 completions away from tying Brady in those

if he plays 10 more seasons, he would need to average 5,686.2 yards, 40.4 passing touchdowns, 497.5 completions per season to catch Brady. the single-season record for passing yards is 5,477. the single-season record for completions is 490. and there have only been 22 40 or more passing touchdown seasons in NFL history (Mahomes has two; 2018 and 2022)

Mahomies get so mad to hear this, but fact is that he has been very mediocre statistically the past 2 years. Heck, he didn't even get selected for the Pro Bowl this year.

I tried to warn them all year long that he just wasn't that good this year, but they hid behind the team's stellar record. Not really that much you can say in response to that, but anyone in here remember the idiocy of the "Can the Chiefs go undefeated?" thread?

I mostly agree with the post, but it really wasn’t idiotic to talk about the Chiefs going undefeated this year, they really only lost that one game to Buffalo before the SB

Yeah the issue is “the flex” after beating all the bottom feeders at the buzzer on missed field goals, bs penalties, etc.

The better thread was “Will The Steelers Go Undefeated” a few years ago when they were 11-0 and then finished 12-4 and were 1-and-done.

I posted one this year to jinx them. I don't remember the other year where they got close.

mine worked like a charm this year.

So in other words they lost 3 games. Not to mention that losing the Buffalo game took the pressure off. If they were still undefeated in mid-November or December, they likely would have found a different loss in there somewhere.

Yeah who knows. But they’re a team that had won the last two Super Bowls and they were into the second half of the season without a loss. They obviously didn’t try the last game of the season. You’re right the Buffalo loss took the pressure off, so who knows

Debate is over for the time being.
Kermit still has the best albeit slim chance of catching TB12 but it's gonna take a lot.
