Remember they said he always wanted to make a scheme for a mobile QB?
True. He had Cam.. and Cam ran well that season. Now he has a young stud. This is the best thing that could have happened for Drake and the organization. Josh will be able to design plays for Drake, put pop in the slot, properly utilize the 3rd down back

I also like that McD has spent the last year hanging out at colleges to add new wrinkles and innovations to his system. I think it’s going to be fine.

More importantly, can we sign a FB now!?!

What free agent FBs are available?
Also can we trade Stevenson?
Maybe a third?

Something that I’ve thought about is could the issue have been that Brady had mastered the offense so most new receivers never had a chance of getting on the same page with him?
I think Brady operated at such a high level the offense has got so complex and they just kept adding and adding and because of that McDaniels has never be able to untangle it, that's the beauty of the McVay/Shanahan type tree it's so QB and WR friendly.

Donate just the price of a cup of coffee a day to help feed a fullback in need

You said it much better than I did. Maybe now the QB and receivers can more easily get on the same page because all will be learning the offense.

He untangled it just fine for Mac Jones and the free agents signed that year

I think it’s more Tom demanded so much and was a absolute psycho on perfection and plays.
Maybe Drake gets there, but I think Drake and Josh can build a playbook that wins games and doesn’t confuse WRs.
Or we trade the dumb WRs for smarter ones,
Would anyone shed a tear if we went with 5 new WRs this season?
