Henry was on the field a lot more - and in a complete all-around TE function.Had to do a double take here.....Would not have guessed Hooper would have ranked this high.
thats part of it. a big part. Some people will still gaslight themselves and say it's not a talent issue
The line of scrimmage must be priority #1. If they can't win the LoS, they cannot win period. I know there's a large swath of people want wideouts. The line has to be fixed first. That doesn't mean they can't do both, but it's really hard to do.Three linemen... each who played significant minutes...
Tells you what? The Line NEEDS to be addressed in both free agency and the draft... It isn't a sexy pick like the wrecking ball from Penn State, but we should use the 4 hole to take the best LT available in the draft... particularly in light of this being a terrible class of OT free agents...
this is just ugly to see
I agree. Henry has taken some shots since he has come to Foxboro and they both are getting older(30). It would be nice to have them hang around at least another year if not two to help bring up the young tight ends. The TE room was the only bright spot on the offense last season outside of Maye.I think the stat is a bit deceiving though. Henry was on the field a lot more - and in a complete all-around TE function.
Considering our last place offense, for him to 18th isn't horrible. But Hooper was a good #2, I just worry that both of them are getting old - and not fast at all.
Restricted rights free agent... at the very least he will get a right of first refusal tender (projected to be $3185,000)... but I'd be fine with the second round tender (ptb $5,217,000)And Ellis is a Free agent.
I was lauding his effort and energy all year.
Two thoughts here:Restricted rights free agent... at the very least he will get a right of first refusal tender (projected to be $3185,000)... but I'd be fine with the second round tender (ptb $5,217,000)
i did not know number 1. thank you.Two thoughts here:
1. He was an UDFA, so they get nothing if he signs an offer sheet the Pats decline to match.
2. The RFA tender is 0% guaranteed, and can be replaced with a new contract for more (or less).
Precisely.Lowe being 69 of 81 means 4 of the 5 starters had no business being NFL starters.
And people are holding out hope for Polk. Literally the worst WR in the entire league.
I’m not sure there was anyone who wasn’t yelling that (other than people employed by the patriots)Precisely.
When people like myself have been yelling all year 'these guys can't play', this is exactly what we were talking about.
Two Patriots graded as the worst players at their position in the NFL in 2024 | Sporting News
New England had some players really struggle throughout the 2024 season.www.sportingnews.com
Saw this in patriots Reddit page.
Polk - 133/133
D Jacobs - 81 out of 81
Dugger - 96 out of 98 ( ouch)
Robinson - 74 out of 77
Brown - 39 out of 40
Oh there were plenty talking about 'development' and how they should be signed for depth going forward.I’m not sure there was anyone who wasn’t yelling that (other than people employed by the patriots)
