Not hiring someone as a Coordinator because they're 48 is pretty weak.

We agree on the system, but I still want a more experienced coordinator. You’re right that experience isn’t a guarantee of success, and lack of experience doesn’t mean McCown won’t succeed, I would just prefer a more experienced guy.

Vrabel can hire an advisor or assistant for McCown, or more likely a passing game coordinator. The familiarity of McCown with Maye is a huge plus.

Not a popular opinion but I wonder how AVP would feel about Passing Game Coordinator. He probably wouldn't like it but it might be the best or only gig he can get in 2025.

His name has been brought up amongst potential OC's for the Patriots. I know that he and Maye have a close relationship and Maye respects him as an Offensive/QB Coach. I think he'd certainly be good for Maye in a variety of respects.

I was in Florider on the Gulf of Americer side since 5 December so I did not see the game, but Mayo always seemed to have that nobody's home, dead look to me during the games I saw.

The Kraft's met many, many times with Vrabel. How is this rushed?

As far as Mayo, Kraft decided not to tear up a contract. The contract was in place when Belichick was fired. Kraft had made the decision years before he hired Mayo,

well making the decision to hire Mayo before he has coached any football. The decision to hire Vrabel before Mayo was fired without an actual coaching search. It feels like Vrabel will do his due dilligence

C'mon, it was because the Pats crapped on Rooney Rule and only interviewed two legitimate candidates and then hired Vrabel the next day. To think Vrabel isn't throwing platitudes at McDaniels because of optics is a stretch. I am sure Vrabel is going to interview plenty of guys he doesn't even intend to hire because he wants to get intel on their teams.

There is a prevailing belief the reason that Vrabel even interviewed with the Jets was to get intel on them because they interviewed him at their facilities while the team was practicing.

The Pats didn't crap on anything. They went by the book with the rules and have no obligation whatsoever to wait until the playoffs are over for a real candidate.
