Congratulations to Coach Vrabel. I was leaning towards Ben Johnson just because I thought a new style and era was warranted , however I like Mike and he will bring much needed organization and accountability to the team. It will be interesting to see who his team of coaches will be .

After a brief and less than extensive search the New England Patriots have hired exactly who most everyone thought they would and probably the guy who would have been their choice last year without the succession language in Mayo's contract.

It sure has been an 'interesting' trip around the Sun here in Patriot land

He's never taken anyone to any level except Brady, Mac Jones fell off a cliff after 8 games.

You could argue that's he's just Adam Gase with better PR, he scores under 20pts a game over 50% of the game when Brady isn't his QB.

Adam Gase was an "offensive genius" when he had Peyton Manning.

Last season needed to happen in order for a top to bottom reser for the organization. This is the right hire all along. I've heard of Shane bowen being DC possibly...isn't he under contract with the Giants still??

I don't love Josh's play calling, but he is a good choice overall.

Isn’t he the last OC to score 30+ for the patriots ?

Ben Johnson was also an EP guy. I hope that in his sabbatical Josh was able to maybe bring something new to his scheme.

I like that he had a year with personnel with the Browns, even though they are a mess, he probably will target a few hidden gems that he came across in that role..
Word of caution we all need to be patient as this is a massive rebuild as the cupboard is bare.. but it will happen with Mike at the helm.
