I don't think I'll said he'll be better than these 11 guys. I hope he surpasses a few and doesn't regress. Yes I think all things considered he was the best rookie QB this year. I just didn't list the other rookies. Some where close to him, some not so much.OK on the first 11, although Herbert with good coaching will likely find his way up the list. He is indeed a superstar.
So, Maye was the best of all the rookie QB's? and presumably is expected to be better than all but these 11 next year?
======
I find it extremely patriot-centric to believe that Maye was or will be better than all the QB's from the last two years, in 2024 or 2025.

To be clear, I wanted us to draft Maye (no-brainer) and I believe that he will lead us to Super Bowls. However, to believe that he is close to say Jaden in 2024 or 2025 makes little sense to me.
CONGRATS to AVP, McCarthy and McAdoo!!! Maye wasn't nearly ready to start the season, and certainly not with our OL and WR's. Where Maye is today is a minor miracle given the situation during 2024. That being said, Maye has a long way to go. A top mentor in 2025 will help a lot over the next several months going into Game One of the 2025 season. Coaching is critical. Poor coaching leads, well we know what it leads to.
My hope was next year Maye goes from the 3rd tier where he is right now to the 2nd tier. If he goes to the 1st tier that be amazing but it is a lot to ask considering how raw he is.
As for Herbert he is floating by on hype right now and his results early with a incredibly good cast. I put him at the top of the 2nd tier for a reason, but I think his entire body of work has not been impressive enough to put him with the bigger dogs in the league. Even the lower end of them. There is lots of reasons for The Charges to be concerned of where he is at this point in his development.
