That's the dumbest take. No way to know what Milton would have done against the starters.Milton throws for sub 100 yards and 3+ picks if Buffalo was trying (coaches and players) and fielded their full roster.
Anthony Richardson went top 5.If Joe Milton played in college like he did on Sunday, he would be the #1 overall pick in this years draft.
Robinson-StrangeIf Andrews is healthy, I think he starts.
Maybe two year? He does have injury history to consider....I also sign Strange to a 3-4 extension to be our center for the future.
The team and Strange understand the injury risk. The value of the contract would reflect that reality. The team would simply walk away from the 3rd or 4th year. Guarantees wouldn't be so high as to make the guarantee OK for a 2-year deal. Consider that we have a 2-year deal guaranteed with a 3rd year thrown in.Maybe two year? I actually like that idea of keeping Andrews as backup in case Robinson fails.Robinson-Strange
Strange-Andrews
If Andrews is healthy, I choose Door Number Two.

Let's see...
Extends the play with his legs
Rolls out into a useful position where he can see the field
Gives himself time and options, he can legitimately get a first down with his legs from the position he rolls out into, and it would have been a great play
But before he commits to a decision but uses his eyes
Sees Kayshon Boutte deep with nothing between him and the endzone
Makes a snap throw across his body, while moving, and puts it on target,
oh yeah, that's at least a 25 yard snapshot throw that he doesn't even have to really set his feet for and again, exactly where he wanted it to give Boutte the easiest touchdown he'll ever get in his life.
40 time: Richardson 4.43 vs Milton 4.53, Richardson is a better runner, his running translates in the NFLAnthony Richardson went top 5.
I'm still waiting for someone to tell me the difference between the two - other than Milton doesn't tap out of games when he's tired.
Russell Wilson could have made that throw before his legs got F'd up and he lost his scrambling ability. These days he can't extend the play like he used to and his accuracy has tanked.I said it at the time.
There are 3 people in the NFL who could make that throw. 2 of them were at the stadium that day.
Let's not forget Caleb Williams running around against backups in the preseason on that play he had for a TD. Yet he can't do it against starters. It was only one play, but it was a damn elite play, and the way Milton set himself up, if the throw to Boutte wasn't there, there were other guys he might have been able to target, or he could have run for the first down if he could make one man miss.
And again, all this AFTER the pocket collapsed.
This kid might just be special.
I don't think that Andrews will start the season as a backup. He'd just retire.I actually like that idea of keeping Andrews as backup in case Robinson fails.
I truly believe Strange will be better than Andrews as a starter. I also am not 100% sure Robinson will make the progress needed, though he has the potential and would be huge to have a young guy there.
Having Andrews able to step in and move Strange to guard if needed makes sense.
That's a ton of money to give up sitting on a couch.I don't think that Andrews will start the season as a backup. He'd just retire.
I understand your position. That's a ton of money to give up sitting on a couch.
Also, he would not know he wasn't the starter until camp was over. I'm speculating how it would be, IMO, once they broke camp.
