vrabel is the obvious hire for many reasons.
But watch it be Johnson.
I’d just happy that Jerod is gone, just because he was in over his head it wasn’t his fault though. I’m sure he thought he could excell at the job.
The way the defense regressed, and how bad Mayo was with the media and just seemed really unorganized.
He could be the nicest guy in the world and based on players words he was.
But that doesnt win football games.

This decision might indicate how much pull Jonathon has now.

Although I did notice that Robert did use the term I instead of we several times today but i'm probably reading too much into that.

But IMO it will still be Vrabel because having an experienced HC is much safer. Plus RK is still calling the shots.

How can Kraft triple down on defensive first coaches given how badly the last 6 years have gone?

Bill didn't forget his to do his job. The league changed. It doesn't work that way anymore.

You need to be able to consistently put up 25 plus points.

I don't think Vrabel philosophy can do it.

Ben Johnson is someone I would have patience with.

I just feel like you can’t lose. Both are really excellent options for different reasons. One is super high ceiling but the floor is probably fairly low, the other has a fairly high floor and a decently high ceiling. When you are coming from Jerod Mayo it’s hard not to gush over both

Milton being here might allow Johnson to devise some crazy tandem plays involving both maye and Milton .

We are top 3 in terms of desirability and number 1 for Vrabel.

So my guess is it's Johnson as choice 1 and Vrabel as choice 2.

Both are good options that promise to be better than Mayo. My hang up is that I have no idea what criteria the Kraft's are using to make this choice. Last time it was based on how he chose his wives. Funny that RKK chose the crazy hot one for last, LOL. The reality is that they don't have the ability to choose based on football knowledge. So how are they going to make the choice?
