I am curious what position Vrabel would take if the Pats decided, for instance, to hire Ben Johnson instead.

1. Bears: probably not, owners are difficult and Caleb is a baby
2. Saints: probably not, no QB and they are always in cap hell
3. Jets: ****kk noooo
4. Jaguars: only one I could kinda see - owner isn't awful, Lawrence is decent; but GM isn't the best

I felt like the Giants would have been his perfect backup spot where they could draft Sanders at #3 (or with a trade up from #3 to #2 if needed), the front office is OK, and the owners are very good. But Daboll ended up being kept, so that poofed.

And then his backup-backup would've been the Raiders - he probably would have had full latitude to shape the FO as he wanted, and Davis is not so bad and Brady is there - no QB but Davis would've let him do what was needed to get one. But so far that job is still closed too. Surprisingly.

As OC? Not as HC I agree.

Yeah I personally don’t want Josh back here….his schemes are very predictable and he doesn’t make adjustments well…just one opinion!
