Does anyone think there is a chance Mayo is one and done?

Ok one thing I haven't really seen or heard talked about and haven't thought of myself thus far. If we as fans are this frustrated not with just the losing, but the dumb verbal diarrhea coming out of the mouth of every "leader" in the building. How can Robert and Jonathan not be infuriated? They have to be.

I am clinging to this for the next 48 hours and believing they are firing at least the coaching staff. That's what I am doing...a long with drinking copious amounts of alcohol today to get me through these stressful time.

There is a case to make on behalf of Mayo that fans and media predicted a 3-4 win season to start. And we are finishing that way. So they didn’t underachieve or overachieve. They met expectations. Fans love to ***** and especially here we somehow feel that a team with the worst roster ought to have won 7 or 8 games.

You could argue that the team played better than expected and were in a number of games to the last few minutes if not seconds.

For me though it is the lack of accountability, the mouthiness of underachieving players suggests a loose “culture” being set. The regression of the defense is a big one. And the fact that Ben Johnson or Vrabel wants to come here makes it very tempting to ditch Mayo and company.
I thought the choice of Mayo as head coach was poor, but given the prospective upgrade in the quarterback position, the return of Gonzalez, and the weaker schedule, I figured that one or two more wins than 2023 was likely. I was wrong. Mayo underachieved my modest, low-bar prediction.

Honestly….its going to be a weird GDT tomorrow…..

And I used to think that we had one of the best owners. Now ... maybe one of the worst.

I used to admire Kraft for all he did. Now his achievements have faded as this franchise has faded due to bickering, mismanagement and complacency.

I think 3-5 years is sort of standard for head coaches. Kraft absolutely doesn’t want to fire Mayo because of pride and money. He has to feel like he HAS to, and I don’t think he’s there yet.
I hope he doesn’t realize early next season that he should have fired Mayo right after the season.

He will have missed a golden opportunity, wasted a year of Maye’s rookie contract and development, and alienated a significant portion of the fan base.

The irony is that documentary exposed him big time. I really liked Kraft back when I first starting watching in the mid 90's. The optics were that he was a passionate owner with a team on the rise. The way he handled Spy Gate and Deflate gate were the first two red flags. Now that both the Parcells and BB's players gone, he looks like the most incompetent owner in the league. Only owners like that hire guys like Mayo.

With the team sucking the last three years, the BB hit piece, ticket prices, Mayo being a clown and now the Tavai fiasco, I think there is already a significant portion of the fan base which already feels alienated by the Krafts.

Count me as one of them.

Hes also gotten lazy.

He fires BB for multiple reasons (valid ones) but keeps the BB tree in Mayo, Cov, Wolf, Groh and others to run his system- which only BB can really run.

The more I read about the succession plan with Mayo, the more I dislike Mayo. It was not his fault to be anointed but now I feel the leaks of disfunctionalities were all from him. How was it supposed to be have work without BB’s blessing of a successor? The Krafts are unbelievable.
The whole thing needs to be cleaned and restarted.

Zero chance. Pats could get blown out 70-0 and Mayo will be doing a press conference with “young thundercat” on Monday that everything is fine. He has a lot of rope. I honestly think either the gang is all back and they might add a veteran coach or two or they just let Wolf walk and replace him with whoever.

It’s just is what it is. Maye shouldn’t be playing tomorrow yet they’re going to force a feel good win to screw themselves out of the #1 pick.

Oh this is 100% what should happen. Which means it 100% won’t. I’m prepared to see Mayo here another 2-3 years at least. I’m just hoping it doesn’t eventually damage Drake Maye and that some credible offensive mind will agree to come here.

I hate that

Sleezboy and ****sucker Jerod “Blue Square Pin’ Mayo is not going anywhere, unfortunately.

How come Robert Kraft hasn't leaked that he's not going to be firing mayo?

He had no problem leaking for 2 months between him and mayo that Bill Belichick was going to be fired so why on the flip side is he not out here talking about Mayo's protection?

Think about this. Mayo hire was Krafts FU to Bill, you think he’s gonna justify Bill and admit his wrong doing after one season and give Bill that gratification? No frekin way, Krafts stubbornness and pride is what saves Mayo for another season, not Kraft actually believing in him as a HC.

He hasn’t leaked that Mayo is getting fired either. Maybe they figured out that loose lips and all that ****.
