Giants WON - we now have the #1 pick

Just remember folks, there have been drafts that are few and far between when a team or three didn't not only need a QB so badly, but also convinced themselves to fall in-love with one or two of them (even if they are subpar compared to previously drafted high QB's). If that's the case in the 2025 Draft, we could greatly benefit. Even better if we had a competent Personnel Department (and don't get me started on the entire Coaching Staff).

I don't get the absolute love for Hunter either. I am not a college expert. But his hype is exceeding what he likely can do at the NFL level. And the Pats do not need to draft a CB at the top of the draft. Gonzalez with a real defense around him might be an All Pro caliber CB.
Shiny. Like a diamond.

Why can't the Titans, Browns, or Giants win? I think the playoff positions will be locked for at least the Ravens and Eagles. They are just as likely to sit players as the Bills are. Plus, the Eagles may be down to their third string QB.

Feel free to put money on them. I know I wouldn't.

Barkley going for that record so there's no way the eagles are going to rest. Hurts is going to need a play and get out some of that rust too.

Don't forget the recent trend for the draft is the hype for QBs no matter how much they are not really first round picks grows from the moment the Super Bowl ends to the draft. People may not be that high on Sanders or Ward right now, but by March people will be talking about how they could be superstars. That is how guys who were originally projected to be second rounders go high in the first like Trey Lance or JJ McCarthy.

We have to lose next week. It would be so dumb not to. Unfortunately the Bills have nothing that play for. So let’s counter by playing Milton, Polk, and Baker. Get a look at them and we absolutely cannot win. We have to lose.
The good thing is that Mayo has lost the locker room. We absolutely suck and the team likely just wants the season over with as soon as humanly possible. We may not play with any juice ourselves.

Not saying they will win. Just saying that I don't think you can rule it out just yet. And Hurts might not pass through concussion protocol.

Whether the desired prize is Sanders or Cam Ward there will be a team who will want to take the #1 QB overall. This I believe, the only question is how attractive a package can you pry out of that team. Hopefully we get a bidding war situation so the offers keep getting better.
If you just ignore the Patriots picking at #1, you can always just contact Tennessee at #2 and ask them what they want, espeically if you're not sold on either Ward or Sanders and will take whoever falls to you.

If the Patriots don't trade the #1 pick, both Ward and Sanders will be available at the Titans pick.

I do wonder if the Krafts could "meddle" in this one and tell Mayo that he isn't allowed to play Maye this week because they're afraid of the concussion issue and want to keep him safe for next year. To influence the game towards a loss. "Don't worry Jerod, just sit Maye this week and we will set you up with a nice cushy executive job to shake hands with important people and make connections."

I think that’s the responsible thing to do. He’s had one concussion and one head injury he returned from. 3 in one year is too much Call it a season and let Jacoby play his final game here.

Your over thinking it. If team with 2nd or third pick wants QB we get a haul by any team willing to go get that QB instead.
They can't trade with the team that has the 2nd pick? The Titans have the 2nd pick and I think I'd rather have Levis.

And even if they did trade down and/or trade back into the first, Will Johnson would be my #1 choice for a CB. He could be a shut-down CB as a Rookie. In fact, I believe that hunter has serious NFL Bust potential.

Levis over Maye? Please tell me you're just pulling our collective legs. Now, if you mean Levis as a backup, then that's different. Although I'd still want more picks in the deal.

Do we really see the Patriots protecting Maye, not turning the ball over and not committing penalties? Week 18 is different?

Zach Wilson at 2 overall

Teams won't risk that. I guarantee you teams will talk themselves into believing Sanders or Ward are almost guaranteed franchise or even elite QBs. That is what teams do every year. I think the Raiders are jonesing to draft Sanders more than just what he means on the field. He seems to fit the Raiders' brand. They may be the most desperate to get to #1 and draft their QB.

Still a whole week to play....by my calculations...6 teams with 3-4 wins can still possibly leap frog us in the draft order. There are 9 teams with 3-4 wins...and two of those are the Jets and Jags...who both have 4 conference wins already (we have 2)...and they both beat us at least once as well.
Tha Pats are guaranteed a top 5 pick.

???

Maye is not getting drafted in the 2025 draft.

Hunter is WR1. He is the Biletnikoff winner. A part-time CB too. If you watch Justin Jefferson, Hunter is quicker and faster.

He seems to be preparing to play CB full time at the NFL level.
