Well, I’m finally on board. Mayo should be fired for putting Maye back in that game. Moron.
Welcome aboard the Fire Mayo Express, next stop, TF Green.

My vote is no, the cupboard was bare even though there was money available to have made some significant signings...
Give him another year and probably upgrade the coordinators as well whoever is in his ear from the box from above.

There was plenty of money, but the free agents were almost all overpaid dogshit. He was right to stay out of that market.

I get this sentiment, but when you have the money to spend, it's ok to overpay a little - especially when you're so bereft of sheer talent.

This is ignoring Mayo's 'burn some cash' nonsense in the offseason (that of course he walked back).

I answered, "No". Absolutely not. I give RKK Credit for making an impossible decision(Firing the GOAT Coach) and being Decisive on his replacement. I've said before, the Franchise has reset and we're starting from ground zero. There's no way any coach could come right in and change a lockeroom culture in one season. Same goes for Wolf. This region has no patience because we were blessed with TB12 for 20 years. The team has a first year OC/DC/HC/QB and GM, not to mention new coaches in other positions. It's not fair to assess Mayo completely until he's had at least a calendar year(But realistically, two or three) to mold the team and change the culture. We'll know MUCH more about this at the end of next season and by the end of the 2026 season we'll have all the factual data we need.

The team SUCKS. Mayo has a communication problem. I get it, but his players all seem to love him and play hard for him though and I'm not jumping ship on him until he's had an opportunity to correct the problems he was handed over from the previous regime. I honestly don't think Mayo is going anywhere and I don't think he should. At least we have our QB and a TON of teams have taken a LOT longer to find that than we did. GO PATS!
Change the culture?

What is this change the culture stuff?

The culture changed, yes, that much is obvious.

Now, they are in a situation where if Mayo gets terminated next year, there's a lack of candidates to take over.
There is no lack of candidates. There are good coaches out there.

You need a proper organizational structure run by people who aren't fanboys of the QB.

You need people who understand football.

The Patriots are deficient in the ownership suite and also the GM office, and until they fix that, the coaching is really irrelevant.

This is actually very true! All great organizations start with high quality leadership at the top and it permeates throughout the organization!

I think Mayo's a good guy, no doubt but he's in over his head and Wolf didn't do him any favors, got to get some good football people on here after this season. This season is a huge disaster.

I mean he even ****ed up today with Stevenson. He isn't starting, oh wait game time comes and he is starting. I mean when the broadcast guys are talking about it, thats bad, real bad.

In fact I found it a bit odd that they were hitting the Pats and the coaching so hard. I think Tucker even said something to the effect of Mayo might end up being a decent coach or something to that effect. That ain't good either.

Disagree completely. The worse you are the more important it is to use your resources wisely. If you pay second and 3rd tier players like they are better than that then you use use up your resources building a mediocre team.if you waste 1st tier $$$ for 2nd tier players, like Tee Higgins, then you won’t be to pay a true #1 that money.

I feel bad for him on one hand. In the press conference he looked very upset, and I'm sure that its not easy to take this kind of heat and ridicule.

On the other hand, I really don't think that he was ever meant to be a head football coach. Pay him and get him out of here.
It's time for AVP, Covington, Grohe and Wolf all to go as well.

It’s better to pay more for players and get them than to pay nothing and get no one.

Can you make it possible to Vote Yes several times?

If we are #3, we can plan to draft Hunter (presuming he is a WR in the combine and pro-day). The we will want a #2 and will pay less in free agency. Higgins, Hopkins, Godwin, Cooper and Diggs are all available as of now. They won't all get outrageous money.

we need to fire mayo and we need an offensive head coach.

Everyone saying "bring in vrable and mcdaniels" Josh is great, but if he comes here and the patriots turn it around, josh is going ot get another head coaching opportunity(most likely college).

We need a strong offensive mind with no higher position to leave for. it feels like there are a ton of defensive coordinators that are career dc's

There are not a lot of career OCs

Well no. Mostly because only one of them will be on the right side of 29 come next season.
