Stumbling "a bit"? Since brady walked out that door the club is 32-50 (including the Buffalo playoff ass kicking). That's a .390 winning percentage. Fans around here spent year's laughing at teams like Cleveland...guess what? Over the same period that Krafty's team has posted that gaudy .390, the Browns are .484 and actually have a post season win. This team, this franchise is a complete ****ing joke - from the owner down to the coach and 90% of the players.
No one wants to play here, no one wants to sign here for bologna sandwiches and Patriot Place gift cards, only to have Krafty Bob show up at practice with his trusty stop watch. This team, mark my words, will not sniff the playoffs for a long time. We are entering the franchise's long winter of discontent. We're going on four seasons of no playoffs and two in a row of totally uncompetitive football.
Since entering the NFL, the longest playoff drought for the New England Patriots (not Boston Patriots) has been seven seasons (1987-1993) and the second longest drought is for the New England Patriots is five seasons, beginning with the first season in Foxboro as the New England Patriots in 1971 through the 1975 season. They made the tournament in 1975. If "stumbling a bit" is knocking on the door of the worst playoff drought in team history, I have some swampland down in FL to sell you.
I made a very similar post last season and the season before and was summarily reported by the footie pajama crowd, and guess what, I was right. The San Diego game on 12/28 will be played in front of a half filled stadium. San Diego fans do not travel so there won't be the usual 10-20% road fans in Krafty's stadium that has been the case the last couple of seasons.
There are 8 or 9 teams well ahead of Krafty Bob's outfit in the American Football Conference. Krafty's charges are not leapfrogging Buffalo, Miami, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Houston, KC, San Diego, and Denver in the next few seasons. Those clubs all have competent coaching and owners that aren't begging the broadcast networks for air time coming out of commercial breaks. Maybe the Pats sneak in as the last WC if there are some long term QB injuries to several of the aforementioned teams, but short of that, teams generally don't go from 3 or 4 wins to the playoffs. And lest we forget, Drake Maye's contract is only through 2027 with a Krafty Bob option for 2028....does anyone see Krafty Bob picking up that option? I don't see Krafty extending Maye early knowing how much of a cheap **** he is (bologna sandwiches, worst weight room in NFL, etc). And why would Maye want to play here?
I really hope this changes but Krafty Bob has lost complete control of the franchise. He was hyper focused on the Dynasty, making himself look good, ****ting on Belichick, and promoting his social justice causes, and as such, the franchise has once again become a laughingstock.
