Sorry if this was posted elsewhere. I figured it deserved it’s own thread. I’ve been one to defend AVP because he doesn’t have **** to work with but the way he places the blame on the players is disappointing to me. Very Mayoesque. I’m surprised that ge even commented on it to be honest with you. He just comes off looking bad to me. The accountability on this team is a mess.

The Krafts Loyalty is Misplaced: they're going to can both AVP and Covinton and keep Boot Licker Mayo.

Why is mayo blaming the playcalling here
These coaches should be on the same page on auch critical situations , they need to be in synch otherwise they can not work together

Owners Son is taking a shot at the play caller. Mayo took a shot at the play caller. Play caller turns around and takes a shot at the players. They’re all right. Everyone is to blame. The HC for not taking control of the situation. The OC for taking the ball out of his best players hands twice in a row and running straight into the mouth of your **** OL. The players for being soft and unable to get a smidgen of a push for 1 stinking yard. Question is, when is someone gonna have the balls to turn and point their finger at ownership for assembling this underwhelming group?

Name one single owner in the NFL that has had more success than Robert Kraft.

He saved this team from becoming another NY team based in CT and brought in leadership, which included trading a 1st rd pick for a HC that won 6 superbowls.

The amount of disrespect Kraft gets is ridiculous. Would you rather have Jerry Jones who drove away his HOF HC after winning 3 superbowls because he wanted it all about himself? Or how about Dan Snyder? Or perhaps Woody Johnson is more your guy.

Kraft has had 3 HOF HC for his organization and a lot of people liked Mayo. Mayo is clearly not working and showing his inexperience but to blame Kraft is ridiculous.

I fail to see what I said that was disrespectful. I was talking about Jonathan Kraft and his remarks make on TV during the missed 3rd and 4th downs. He made the comments, he helped put this leadership team together, not me. When I said point the finger at ownership, I was referring to Jonathan who is heavily involved. He’s not technically an owner, so my bad. RK in my opinion is more hands off now and along for the ride. Thats why he has gotten so many new people involved.

He saved this team from becoming another NY team based in CT...

My memory is that Kraft was the one who started the Ct courting to begin with. Saved it from St. Louis? Sure, yep, but the Conn. thing was his own making.

Yep and it's the wrong tree to be barking up. If Mayo stays, and AVP gets kick out...then it's over.
So AVP was the only person in 12 to say alright I 'll do this if they can him who in the actual **** do they think will come in as OC if Mayo is still here?

He leveraged CT against MA. He may have been bluffing, but MA ultimately folded. He spent a great deal of his own money to stay in MA.

It's the prevailing attitude amongst the Belichick fans that they want to put all the blame on Kraft for everything.

Your post seemed like it is trying to place all the blame on ownership. Ownership isn't the problem until they start firing HCs 3 games into the regular season or sticking with a HC or GM after multiple failed seasons.

At this point it's still too soon to blame Wolf IMO but there definitely appears to be some dysfunction from the coaching staff which is a problem.

If Wolf tries to move on from Mayo in offseason and is blocked by the ownership then I think it is fair to then blame ownership.

So your point only furthers demonstrates what Kraft did for the Patriots.

I misremembered so thanks for clarifying Krafts awesomeness as an owner

I cant completely agree. Ownership deserves some of the blame. Rookie GM (w/e his title is, rookie OC, rookie DC, rookie hc, rookie position coaches. They had a hand in some of those hiring decisions. Maybe not all, but definitely some. I have seen the anti Kraft posts you’re referring to. They’re over the top and that’s not me.

I though AVP was an experienced OC. I get the point you are making but did Kraft solo make all those choices?

Did he independently choose Wolf as his GM and Mayo as his HC then picked the OC and DC himself?

If he made all those choices on his own I agree.

If hired Mayo and Mayo chose his staff then the staff is on Mayo. If Kraft picked Mayo and Wolf separately then I would agree that was a mistake as I believe a GM or HC should be in agreement with the GM/HC choice.

Irresponsible of the Krafts here. If you want to watch the game in plain public view then show some media savvy. For Jonathan to be openly saying things like he did there shows immaturity on his park and quite frankly that he isn't ready to be the front and center owner of the team.

So JKraft put it out there that the palycalling was bad or questionable. The media naturally asks. What is AVP supposed to say?

He says "yeah it's a bad call" and now fans/media pile on... "SEE!!! Even the guy calling the plays knows he isn't qualified, why should the players believe in him?!?!"

He says they need to execute better and it's just as bad a reactions... "OMG!!! No accountability!!! Just like Mayo!!! They all suck!!"

JKraft put him in a bad spot because he acted like a petulant little brat that doesn't seem to understand the leadership position he's in for a public facing organization.

Isn’t the OC supposed to know his players and know his OL is ****? It worked once isn’t a very confidence invoking statement.
Saying he would call the same play again knowing the players on the field can’t execute it is damning.

Thank god there are only 3 games left because the rats are attacking each other fiercely and this could get very ugly.

I get what you’re saying about JK but AVP didnt say it was a bad call. He basically blamed it on the players for not executing.

Kraft didn’t say it publicly and surely didn’t know the camera and lip readers were tuned into his private conversation.
If it made the guy who sucks at calling plays uncomfortable why is that a bad thing?

It's a 3-11 team. They're all losers. The question is how do they become winners. If it's firing AVP and keeping Mayo... I'm not sure we'd call that winning.
