Bologna Bob confirmed cheap

This part baffles me obviously Bill chose who to spend on but you're going to have to explain why he would want to spend less than other teams?

He might have preferred to spend on STers and depth over bigger splashes but why wouldn't he want more money for more gunners and vices instead of Kraft keeping it?
Idk but I just think it’s funny that for years the guy that was celebrated for having full control compared to any coach in the league is all of a sudden having “the owner got in the way” excuses once it stopped working.

Two things can be true. BB was bad in his last five years, and RK is cheap.

It's misleading to say this proves Kraft is "confirmed cheap" because they are 32nd in this particular average.
Add to the fact BB was a major factor in determining spending for every year there it also is misleading to say it is Kraft.

The data shows they are about 20th in the league over that period when accounting for the one outlier year. The recent years have been worse than the Super Bowl contending years but also makes sense based on the roster and free agents available.

The team that was 4th in the entire league in cash spending in 1 year during that period while having the highest paid coach in the NFL that same year seems to indicate this metric is pretty poor in determining "cheap"
It’s not misleading at all. It’s the average over the period. A one year anomaly doesn’t change that and cash spending varies a lot year to year butter nature of the system.
Belichick doing well with a limited budget doesn’t change that the limited budge existed.

If you remove every other teams “outlier” year they end up back at the bottom.
You think spending less and therefore having a lesser roster justifies spending less? No. .

Belichick was not in control of the budget he was given.

Gonna need a source
The source is common sense. If you want to believe the coach and gm can spend whatever he wants and the owner has no say, go ahead and be a fool.

Full control does not mean unlimited budget.

nothing new to see here ...
we already discussed this in this thread:

BB has double the number of assistants at UNC than he had with the Patriots. Wonder why that is?
Maybe because graduate assistants work 100 hours per week for about $30k annually?

He stays at The Breakers in Florida. There’s high end escorts at the hotel bar.
I know!!! What the heck! If I were a Multi-Billionaire, let alone one that owned a professional sports franchise that was worth Billions just by itself, I wouldn't have availed myself of the services of a Strip Mall "Happy Ending" establishment. Now that's cheap! I'd want one of those "Pro's" that looks like Jennifer Love Hewitt when she was in her Mid-20's type of Professionals.

Well unfortunately you lack that. So I'm going to need a source for a known liar. Since you can't provide it, your punishment is being muted for the rest of this thread.

It’s amazing how anyone could defend Kraft since the stunt he pulled with Curtis Martin.
What "stunt" was that? Martin wanted to go play for Parcells and Parcells wanted Martin. At that point, there's really nothing you can do to keep him. Parcells gave Martin one of the original "poison pill" contracts as an RFA and he walked. It happens.

Or you know.... there's 120 people on the roster in college. Probably need more assistants with over the double the number of players

Kraft is cheap. Who drives a Bentley to a FL strip mall to save money on massages. A really cheap guy.
Didn't he have a coupon and was it not happy hour?

Happy when it was time to pay.

Lol. I suggest you go research what really led to Parcells swopping in and making Kraft look like a fool.

You are telling the story the Pats have always wanted you to know.

Trying to assign thought, reason and logic to a man's sexual proclivities is an exercise in futility. Just because you would prefer something doesn't mean other men in the same position would enjoy the same thing.

In other words, you have nothing to support your point. Newsflash: It doesn't fall on me to research a point you are trying to make.

I accurately described what happened: Martin wanted to go play for Parcells and Parcells wanted Martin. At that point, there's really nothing you can do to keep him. Parcells gave Martin one of the original "poison pill" contracts as an RFA and he walked. It happens.
