I can't see them moving on from Mayo, not unless 2025 starts as a disaster.Mayo's not going anywhere.

Hoping that Mayo will be good in year 2 is pretty much the same thing some people did when they hoped that Zappe was the next best thing.tom curran patriots GIF by NBC Sports Boston - Find & Share on GIPHY

Mayo hasn’t changed one bit since he acted like a clown on the set of Quick Slants (see link). Only the most gullible Pats fan (looking at you Thunder) would believe this moron is going to make a year 2 jump.
If the Pats bring him back next year, I’m guaranteeing a top 5 pick in the 26 draft, which would be 3 top 5 picks in a row, all because Thunder took a fancy to his most agreeable travel companion.
The Jets would fire him at the end of the year. The Pats won't.We are the Jets now.
The Krafts are killing this franchise
Every good investor knows there's nothing dumber than putting good money after bad. The smart teams quickly realize their mistakes and move on. Letting Mayo coach next year just pushes his inevitable firing & the start of the rebuild, back by a year. The Jets would fire him at the end of the year. The Pats won't.
So the Jets are a smart franchise now?Every good investor knows there's nothing dumber than putting good money after bad. The smart teams quickly realize their mistakes and move on. Letting Mayo coach next year just pushes his inevitable firing & the start of the rebuild, back by a year.
God forbid, the Jets hire Vrabel & McDaniels this offseason & set the Pats back for the next decade.
Only a Jets fan or a moron would want Mayo back, which are you?So the Jets are a smart franchise now?
Vrabel was okay as an HC. He never won anything while in TN.
Neither. I think Mayo is a bad coach. I also know that the Krafts aren't firing him this off-season.Only a Jets fan or a moron would want Mayo back, which are you?
I just said I think he's a bad HC.And while you're at it, tell me what Mayo does well. He can't coach the O. They need to bring in a Senior Defensive assistant because he can't coach the D. He calls himself a CEO coach, but makes game management mistakes every week that cost his team points, and in several cases, games. His team is undisciplined & is among the most penalized teams in the league. He sticks his foot in his mouth every week with the media & is constantly taking back something he said a day earlier.
As a wise man said, deserve's got nothing to do with it. It's not what I want. It's not what you want. It's what Bob and/or Jonathan want. What they want is for Mayo to get another year. And he's going to get it.From all appearances, other than backstabbing BB (& in doing so submarine the 2023 season) & sucking up to "Thunder", Mayo doesn't do a single thing well. I'm not sure he does much of anything except trying to make himself look busy and kiss Thunder's ass.
Why exactly has he done to deserve another season?
We have to let Kraft hear it.We are the Jets now.

Fair enough. But the fans deserve better & don't need to put up with this BS.Neither. I think Mayo is a bad coach. I also know that the Krafts aren't firing him this off-season.

The Pats were a crappy franchise for a long time before an unprecedented run of success. They're weren't too many lows for this franchise in a generation. People just need to get used to getting used to lean years.Fair enough. But the fans deserve better & don't need to put up with this BS.
Any true fan of the team has an obligation to boycott Gillette until Thunder hires a real HC.
I've had enough of the Krafts taking this fanbase for granted.
Disagree. People should never settle for mediocrity. That's what simps & losers do.The Pats were a crappy franchise for a long time before an unprecedented run of success. They're weren't too many lows for this franchise in a generation. People just need to get used to getting used to lean years.
agree 100 percent.Disagree. People should never settle for mediocrity. That's what simps & losers do.
The franchise just lucked into the best QB prospect to hit the league in years. It would take complete negligence & stupidity to mess this up. And keeping an unqualified coach that has shown absolutely no ability to do the job for another season is exactly that.
Rather than accept mediocrity brought upon by the lazy and half ass approach the Krafts have taken to this team, the fans can choose to rise up, boycott Gillette & force the Krafts to do better by the franchise.
So don't go to the games, plenty of people still will and Mayo will have another year, if he doesn't improve, he'll be gone. Some might have forgot how hard it is to win in the NFL. BB and TB almost made it look easy, it's not. I've been a fan for 50 years, I always went to the games when they were terrible, always supported the team and was paid off for my patience with Tom and Bill. Not much a fan can do about it, if you don't go, someone else will take your seat. The NFL will always have fans.Disagree. People should never settle for mediocrity. That's what simps & losers do.

It’s a lot more difficult when your coaches don’t have half of the answers to the tests,So don't go to the games, plenty of people still will and Mayo will have another year, if he doesn't improve, he'll be gone. The Jets wouldn't. They routinely keep mistakes around multiple years. See Adam Gase for the prime example. And you need to go back 24 years for the last time they fired a guy after one season. The Jets would fire him at the end of the year. The Pats won't.
