2025 LT

I know I mentioned both of these guys in a previous post in this thread but Ersery (late 1st) and Milum (2nd round) are absolutely worth keeping an eye on, especially if we choose someone like Tet McMillan in the first. I see Milum as underrated right now.
Worst case scenario, Ersery can be moved to RT. He's no Daniel Faalele.

Probably not the answer, but what about a Day 3 pick for either Wills or Evan Neal or both?

From what ive seen there are decent tackles in this draft but they might still be available if we trade down. (Assuming we pick top 3) I've seen mocks with Campbell and Banks both outside the top 10.

Didn’t they just draft the RT from Penn State to play LT? Now we want to throw another LSU RT into the mix, hoping for better results this time around at LT? No thanks.

My favorite LT in this draft is Josh Conerly from Oregon. The problem with him is that I have seen ranked anywhere from top 20 to 3rd round. He reminds me of Zach Tom coming out of Wake Forest(not exact comparison but similar in style). He is 6'4 305 or so, very quick on his feet and good puller. Plays with inconsistent hands

Campbell from LSU plays LT, he wouldn’t be a conversion project. His biggest potential flaw is arm length, there is some suspicion his are less than 33 inches which if true would be a potential deal breaker. Otherwise he’s a great LT prospect, his pass protection stats are outstanding especially considering he’s in the SEC. He has started all of the LSU games in his two three years, 23 games so far, every snap at LT. For his career, in 1687 snaps he’s allowed 2 sacks, 20 hurries, and committed 6 penalties.

The latest PFF big board has Josh Simmons at #15, Ersery at #17, and Milum at #18.

Yeah, he’s fine. He actually played LT. Just not a fan of seeing a RT Emory Jones on that big board as a candidate to fix our situation. Been there, done that already with Wallace. I’m a bigger fan of Banks over Campbell but that’s just me. I know some will mention Banks measurements but I just think he shows better as a pass blocker regardless.

OK I agree regarding Emory Jones, I’ve watched all the LSU games this year and have been very unimpressed with him. As for Wallace I see no indication so far that he can handle LT in the NFL but this time last year I felt Vederian Lowe was nothing but practice squad level and though he’s certainly nothing great he’s made strides this year, so who’s to say Wallace can’t. I’m guessing he will wind up as a RT and if he can become a starter there then that’s fine value for a high third round pick.

I like Campbell better than Banks but I think they are both plenty talented and are legit 1st round prospects. If their measurements are not problematic I expect both of them to go in the top 10 given how many teams are starving for an upgrade at LT, including the Pats obviously. I like both of them as much as I liked Alt and Fuaga from this year and a lot better than I liked Fashanu, Latham, Fautanu, and Guyton. Alt has been very good, Fuaga who also converted to LT this year has been decent, Fashanu and Fautanu are not really on the field yet, I haven’t seen much of Latham except against the Pats where he looked fine, and Guyton also looks decent also from what I’ve seen.

If the Pats are in the top 10 I’d be hoping for better impact than I’ve seen from everyone drafted at OT other than Alt. That’s why my lean now is to acquire the best available LT in free agency and pick BPA in the top 10.

Right there with you. Been mentioning Alaric Jackson for months as a fa acquisition. Good to see Lowe playing good football though.

Team needs a big time playmaker at wr. Love the guy out of Arizona, we’ll see if he’s there? Kid from Ole Miss is climbing as well. McMillan and Harris are the two I like a lot. Can’t help but like Jeanty out of Boise st either. Haven’t considered drafting a rb in the first round in years but he shows pretty special and is one of the biggest playmakers in the draft. Probably still wouldn’t, but tempting as hell.

Still like Banks and Cambell in that 6-15 range. But a lot changes from now until draft day. Bowl games, combine, prodays etc

Surprised no one has mentioned Purdue's LT Marcus Mbow yet.

I've been watching him all year.

I have no idea what his athletic assets are but I do know that every weekend, he stones pass rushers who will be making money in the NFL.

He just handles everyone who comes at him. Penn State has 2 DEs who will go in the first few rounds, and he had absolutely no trouble with them at all.

Now I know he plays on the worst team in Purdue history, but he may drop because of it.

I like this kid a lot.

This is a very good point. We are picking in the top 3 again and there are some freakishly good defensive ends coming out!

I think Campbell is a top 10 pick. But not a top five pick.

I’m thinking about Hunter or MacMillan in the top 5, then trade back into the later 1st round for Ersery or Simmons. If they end up top 3 they have a shot at Hunter.

He's been receiving late 2nd-/early 3rd-round buzz; but if he passes his medical exam at the combine (and if his arm length measures at least 33"+) then he should find himself squarely in the late 1st-/early 2nd-round conversation...
