Like hiring former lacrosse players to a national football team. When it's not a relative, it's called cronyism.

It's has to do with having a personal relationship with someone and giving them a job.Like hiring former lacrosse players to a national football team.
I know I agree. I was just eluding to post about mayo being a nepotism hire. It's has to do with having a personal relationship with someone and giving them a job.
I felt Vrabel would have been the guy.. before we all found out about the clause for Mayo. I'd like wolf to hire Vrabel at DC.. then untimely he'd be in position to replace Mayo as HC going forward.Head Coach: I’m 50/50 with Mayo staying. I’d only want Vrabel to replace him.
Offense: AVP gets another season but maybe Polk and Baker are not getting the training they need. I’d like to see Hughes fired now and let Troy Brown do the job for the remaining games and see what happens and then reevaluate after the season.
Defense: Covington should probably be fired at the end of the season. Vrabel as HC and DC would be ideal IMO.
The definition of nepotism literally includes both friends and family. When it's not a relative, it's called cronyism.
I don’t think Vrabel needs to be the HC and DC as he wasn’t his own DC in TEN. He is capable of finding a competent DC for himself.Head Coach: I’m 50/50 with Mayo staying. I’d only want Vrabel to replace him.

Applying it to Mayo is stretching it. Mayo was a former employee of Kraft's that he took a liking to. Getting hired by a company and then selling yourself to the person who makes the decisions on promotions is far from nepotism, that's just what you are supposed to do to advance your career. The definition of nepotism literally includes both friends and family.
I don't want Vrabel or anyone remotely connected to the old regime.I felt Vrabel would have been the guy.. before we all found out about the clause for Mayo. I'd like wolf to hire Vrabel at DC.. then untimely he'd be in position to replace Mayo as HC going forward.
That would never work, for the exact reasons you mention. I don't see how the Pats can bring in a high powered coordinator with HC credentials under Mayo That said, it would be worth watching Mayo get undermined by the next coach in waiting.I felt Vrabel would have been the guy.. before we all found out about the clause for Mayo. Well.. supposedly mayo handled the defensive side with coaching.. so if that's the case then covington isn't going anywhere.. I'm just throwing out what I would like and that is Vrabel.. but the more likely scenario is Mayo's going to bring in a veteran coach to support the defense. Tomlin had **** leuabua in Pittsburgh for years. That would never work, for the exact reasons you mention. Stephen played football at Rutgers and was an assistant coach.I see your points Ross.. but the reason why nepotism is prevalent here with Bill becuase Stephen was a lacrosse player he didn't play football. Mayo and Covington did at least have football acumen. Same with pelligrino a lacrosse player. Bills career spanning 50 years he network is endless of the connections.
If Stephen were still here and the defense looks like it has all season we would have our answer. I've said myself Mayo's biggest fault was not going elsewhere and then coming back he'd be a much better coach having done so.
Your correct I did forget to mention that after-post.Stephen played football at Rutgers and was an assistant coach.
I think a veteran coaching assistant is brought in to support covington on defense. We need to accept Mayo will be back.
Even if our defense gives us a nfl
Leading amount of points to finish the season.
They will fire Covington as a scapegoat.
Yeah. Mayo leaving is just wishful thinking. He was always getting more than one year. You can't fire Belichick and then give his replacement a single season with a roster this bad. It will just make the opening look toxic to anyone relevant. Even if you want to get rid of Mayo, you still need to show potential hires that they will get a fair shake here and won't be on the hotseat on day 1.We need to accept Mayo will be back.

I’m not looking forward to see Vrabel with the Jets.Bears, Jets & Saints Expected To Request Interviews With Mike Vrabel
According to Jonathan Jones, the Bears, Jets and Saints currently have head coaching vacancies and he expects all three to want to speak with former Titans HC Mike Vrabel. Jones has heard a lot ofnfltraderumors.co
Better fire Mayo quickly.
I am. The Jets will be in full rebuild mode. They will have to get a new QB. Even if Vrabel ends up panning out (I doubt it, NYC is a tougher crowd than TN) it will be years before they do anything relevant. We don't even know which GM they will saddle that team with.I’m not looking forward to see Vrabel with the Jets.
