You are comparing Mayo to a guy who have Two SB Rings one as an Assist Coach and the other a HC?? Unreal.

I am comparing a guy who has two SB rings to a guy whom I doubt will ever win one as a HC. It was not I, in any case, who brought up Tomlin as a comparable. Once the comparison is suggested, I offer my view on it. What's the problem? In effect I reject the comparison as inapt and cite several respects in support of the view. Simply put, Tomlin is a successful hc; Mayo is by most objective measures a failing one. It takes a lot of excuse-making to pretend otherwise.

My bad sorry.

PF2 what's your take on Milton Williams? DT plays for the eagles. He could be a great addition inside with white and Barmore.. I'm all set with goddy.

I started this by comparing the coaching structure to see if there was a successful CEO HC type that would work as a model for what Mayo could have tried to create. Not that the two were in the same league. Well, they're both in the National Football League.

I am cool with another DT but I would love a sideline to sideline LB who can cover. Seeing Jalopy Tavai on a LB had took years off my life.

I know. I got your point completely. I'm not quite sure why my response was problematic for some, but it's not a big deal, of course. Wires get crossed up in chat all the time. It happens even more in political chat spaces, where I spend about half my time.

Every player doesn’t need to be able to do everything if the coaching is good.
Tavai and Dugger weren’t covering WRs last year, and shouldn’t be.
The scheme might call itself the same but its best attributes have been bastardized. We used to hide players weaknesses and accentuate their strengths. Now we get them out in a position that exposes their weakneses and the coaching staff has no clue how to combat that.

We need to blow up the defensive scheme because we are running one crafted by a scheme genius with people who don’t understand it on a macro level.

It's obvious that DeMarcus Covington plays Madden and have translated it to real life: to the Teams detriment. I can't wait to see Barmore and White on a TE in space I mean why stop there. It's obvious Covington will be the fall guy in the end...really hope Mayo goes with him.

Yeah Tavai is a good player but coverage isn't his strength he's best around the LOS and in the backfield. We need to draft at least 2 fast, LBs who can cover.. I'm tired of covering my eyes with this defense

Peering at 2025 free agent options...

- Trey Smith at OG
- Garrett Bolles at OT
- Tee Higgins at WR
- Chris Godwin at WR
- Nick Chubb at RB
- Jevon Holland at S
- Dre Greenlaw at LB
- Osa Odighizuwa at DT

Covington has no scheme.. we get schemed watching them each week

Bolles is 32.. I'd rather draft a LT, Higgins, greenlaw are must haves!!!!

And that's some of the reasons why I think even of we get better players they still won't be able to overcome Mayo. He's out of his league I remember the Michael Jordan Bulls Teams with Doug Collins who couldn't get over the Top until they got Phil Jackson. Who went on to the Lakes and also have success yeah Good Coaching matters.

We gotta stop treating nose tackles and 3-techniques like they’re interchangeable. I can’t handle this again after all the posts about putting Christian Wilkins next to Barmore a year ago.

Mayo's gonna either swim or continue sinking.. simply put.

The position is so much if a dud tight now and as ring 6 perfectly put the Defensive scheme needs to change to fit the players not the other way around. Godchaux is run stuffing DT hes not a rusher.. these guys today are multifaceted athletes.
