A Pretty Impressive Offense!

Really nothing's changed since week one, except adding a really good rookie QB.

Which is exciting. Agreed.

But what else has happened?

That we know Boutte and Hooper are backups?
QUITE A LOT HAS HAPPENED ON OFFENSE

NOT ENOUGH?
We have had positive evaluation for the future at QB, RB, TE and WR.

We have learned:

that we have our QB

that we know that we have two solid RB's

that we know that we have two solid TE's (presuming that Hooper is extended)

that we know that we have two WR's for the future (OK, they are not #1 WR's) in Douglas and Boutte

that Bourne is still available and competent as one of our WR's

Robinson has risen to backup quality and likely has a future for us as a backup

We seem to have found a someone in Brown to compete for a backup position at center

ALSO
Polk, Baker and Wallace have shown less than nothing
We have also evaluated several players, some of whom are gone.

Brother so you don't drive yourself madd.. they aren't going to make any changes at HC until at least next season when the clock starts for everyone.. it's the harsh reality of the situation

Agreed , mayo’s here next year whether we like it or not. If then theres still no improvement, then we have legit hope for a change after season 2.

Yes! People are driving themselves crazy LOL the team is going to spend. Drake will have some guys around him. The defense I'd expect to look much better next season.

We will add lots of improvements in the off-season, obviously on the OL and at WR. And hopefully we will find a way to have an OL with many fewer penalties. Perhaps we will upgrade a coach or two (and those who stay will be better after getting some experience under their belts).
======
But look at where we start. Our Offense might have scored 7-10 more points more than the TWENTY FOUR we scored if penalties were reduced.

a fine QB
a running game with 200 yards, led by two solid RB's
two solid TE's (extend Hopper ASAP)
an OK set of two slot receivers in Douglas and Bourne
and OK backup outside receiver in Boutte.
=========
Yes, we need to develop FOUR starters to play with Onwenu, and
2 WR's to play with Douglas and Boutte (and perhaps Bourne)

You know we added WR and OL LAST draft right?

Same guy is picking the groceries in 2025.

They scored 24 points, missed a chip shot filed goal and bobbled a possible TD into a turnover at the goal line. 34 points was right there. Only 4 teams scored more than 34 this week.

Maye has made the offense competent, and he can pick apart below average defenses that don't have any good pass rushers which means if he ever plays behind a solid line or gets a true #1 receiver will be something to watch.

Put Maye on the Broncos they might win the Super Bowl. Not kidding.

The guys just so dam impressive. Go figure young TB12 had stellar coaching, solid OL, elite defense. Maye has NONE of wich and still is able to carry this team.

@PATSYLICIOUS on the D. Barmore will be 100%, peppers situation behind him. Bentley back healthy next season. Adding a demarcus Lawrence, ward at CB and Adding edge rusher will do wonders.

And we are prepared to sacrifice 2025 on the altar of Kraft’s ego, because rebuilds take time.

Like 2001, right?

That team didn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of making the playoffs, let alone win a Super Bowl.

I like how Maye is developing… really looking forward to 2025. LFG.

Your are correct there. I was just making the comparison to what Drake has to work with as opposed to the GOAT with the very Same franchise and ownership.

Nice 60 yard bomb to me says tee Higgins.. MAYE I please have another...

Yep, edge and cb is where id start too since wr/ot will also require a heavy emphasis. Whatever is left over they can address in 26 but i truly think barmore 100%, a force at edge, and white inside where he belongs will make life very hard for offenses and we may not be as far as it currently looks. Right now life is very easy for opposing qbs

Yes simply because we have no pressure on the QB.. Barmore isn't himself right now.. I thought for sure he'd miss the season. He's not in form yet. I like ward out in SF He's perfect for the defense..

Hate to break it to you but Douglas is not very good.
He's only good to patsfans forum members who watch only patriots games and no other NFL games. One look at another NFL offense and you instantly see what real NFL wide receivers are supposed to look like.

Imagine Drake throwing to Ladd McConkey instead of Demario Douglas.

Big difference between drafting a wide receiver in the top 5 of the draft vs drafting him at 37. Polk was an egregious miss, but I'm confident that even this front office can't screw up drafting the best WR in the 25 draft.

Let me go further....Drake throwing to Pickens and McConkey instead of Thornton and Polk.
