Gonzo is the real deal imo.Props to Gonzo for the game he played. Dude clearly looked like he was walking gingerly getting off the bus and still played a stellar game.

This team has several keepers, but the needs go well beyond two or three players. They've stacked up salary cap space (estimated at $139M in 2025) and will have a lot of early picks to add rookies or trade for key veterans. With the Patriots' QB already in place, having top three picks in each round gives them maximum leverage with the many teams looking for a QB, or some team looking to move an offensive lineman for cap purposes either before or right after the 2025 draft. How much draft capital do you want him to give up? Teams that buy at the deadline are potential contenders looking to get over the hump. The Pats weren't that. The draft picks are more valuable than a player they're only going to rent for a year or two.
No we do have a choice to build with good players and not liabilities. Acting like a desperate franchise makes you the Jets. This is how teams become perpetually mediocre. We have no choice but the latter now.
Bob's got Timeout To End Hate PSA's that will be airing next season during games. It's bad optics to fire your POC coach and pushing that message.
Affirmative action won't work for Mayo, he doesn't have a prayer.
I'm hoping. If he loses his job it will be because he deserves to.
I still doubt he's fired this year. Even though he should be.
If you haven’t noticed, we are now the jete
We do. You really want us to be desperate and turn into the JetsWe have no choice but the latter now.
I'm sick of us being the 32md Team in everything. There's only 32 Teams right??We do. You really want us to be desperate and turn into the Jets
I thought the difference in 14 yards was worth the challenge tbhA Pats fan wakes up from a coma and asks for a brief summary of Mayo’s performance thus far.
Me:
I have been scanning for headlines of Pats firings.I'll be honest, I'm feeling pretty deflated that it's 10 AM on Monday and nobody's been fired.
Is hiring someone like Mayo, for the wrong reasons like Kraft did, Jete, subJete, or proJete?Understandable, but firing coaches in the middle of the season is a JETE thing to do. No one can transform a team at this stage.
We are 3-9. We can’t run an offense without penalties and/or a jailbreak to the Qb.Patronising but false.
It pains me to say this but I have to agree. They're really not any better than Jete-level right now.We are 3-9. We can’t run an offense without penalties and/or a jailbreak to the Qb.
Our defense is a mess.
Our GM went to free agency and signed zero good players.
The owner hired the HC for reasons not related to winning football
The OC is a guy who wasn’t allowed to call plays and STILL got fired. By the BROWNS
Our HC routinely publicly insults the players and refuses to take blame.
Players don’t seem to care when they get blown out.
We have picked up numerous waiver wire players and they play major minutes, some start.
We are pretty much as broken and a joke as the Jets have ever been.
Mayo just said earlier that if he had the personnel to change out players who aren't doing the right thing he would. Basically saying he has guys that suck right now.
Messaging matters don't know if I would be saying that out loud.
Keeping him employed when you know he isn’t the answer is Jeteist of jete.Is hiring someone like Mayo, for the wrong reasons like Kraft did, Jete, subJete, or proJete?
Mayo said that he would have benched him but they don't have anyone else to replace him with. (paraphrasing)I respect the honesty. Mayo only hope is to make it clear that it's not his fault these bums are here.
That said. I don't care how bad you are. I don't care if you're not a NFL worthy talent. There is ZERO excuse for lining up offsides on OFFENSE. Or the same dude getting 3 false starts.
That's all on coaching.
