Jonathan Taylor as usual is the guy to stop.. of course other than stopping the guy in stripes throwing flags when the Pats hit on big plays.
Looking at these numbers they seem to turn the ball over a lot... too bad we aren't so great at taking it away.
Phil Perry said that the team is all in on Mayo for the long term. Don't expect him to get fired at the end of the season. Or even at the end of the next.If the Pats lose this game, it will look more likely Mayo is gone after the season ends.
Once you lose the locker room, it's over. If the Pats players have a Josh McDaniels ambush, Bob will have no choice.Phil Perry said that the team is all in on Mayo for the long term. Don't expect him to get fired at the end of the season. Or even at the end of the next.
There's no sign of that happening. The team was almost jovial after the loss. That doesn't sound like a locker room on the brink.Once you lose the locker room, it's over. If the Pats players have a Josh McDaniels ambush, Bob will have no choice.
Every RB will look like crap if the crappy OL can't open up holes.Oh, and I'm done with Rham.
He had ONE good run his first attempt where he trucked Poyer.
Then, he turns to mush. He's the worst 1st-down runner in the league.
It's a guaranteed 1 yard.
(sure, that's also on AVP for running up the A gap EVERY SINGLE first down play)
Tackling was like an electric football buzzboard...Mayo said there might be changes to starting lineup...
Great - but who's left to play?
I mean, Lowe and Jacobs were absolutely terrible. Clearly the OL is the most obvious culprit.
But what can they do there? Try Sow back at RT (where he stunk last year)
Or, bring up McKenzie from PS at LT?
DL provides NO pressure. Safeties (mostly Dugger) were terrible.
Besides Elliss, the LB's are junk.
Tackling was like a '90's video game.
That IS a lost locker room, dude. A locker room that doesn't care is lost. There's no sign of that happening. The team was almost jovial after the loss. That doesn't sound like a locker room on the brink.
But they're not on the brink of mutiny. That IS a lost locker room, dude. A locker room that doesn't care is lost.
They won't because they don't actually care. This is the problem. They revolted against McDaniels because he was being a prick to them. Mayo doesn't care, and the team doesn't care either. No one gives a **** and no one is going to revolt. The locker room has long ago been lost, but it isn't outwardly obvious because it isn't manifesting in an aggressive way.Once you lose the locker room, it's over. If the Pats players have a Josh McDaniels ambush, Bob will have no choice.
Then why sign a guy to top 8 in average per year and 7th in guarantees when he's neither a top RB and the OL stinks?Every RB will look like crap if the crappy OL can't open up holes.
Of course that's true. But, who can say Rham looks like he's giving 100% effort every run? Never.Every RB will look like crap if the crappy OL can't open up holes.
I don't think they went into this year expecting the OL to stink as much as it does. Then why sign a guy to top 8 in average per year and 7th in guarantees when he's neither a top RB and the OL stinks?
The Pats had him for this year. They didn't even have to sign him.
I mean, I'd posit that they already have mutinied and are out there freelancing and just doing what they want/taking plays off/etc and we just don't know it. It's not a "the deckmates are overthrowing the captain" type of mutiny and more of a "the deckmates stopped caring and all decided to play cards the rest of the day" type of mutiny. But they're not on the brink of mutiny.
A poster here said he models his game after Bell.Of course that's true. But, who can say Rham looks like he's giving 100% effort every run? Never.
He turns sideways on half of his attempts, hesitates forever as if he's prime L'veon Bell.
Can't make 1 yard when it's a gotta-have-it. Soooo overrated.
well, there you have itA poster here said he models his game after Bell.
You know there's a major problem when armchair QB's on this board can see the OL has stunk for years, but they (Wolf) didn't think it would be going into the season.I don't think they went into this year expecting the OL to stink as much as it does.
