Does anyone think there is a chance Mayo is one and done?

I agree that one or two of those will take the fall. It should by Stinko de Mayo and Covington but the Wolfman will probably be one of them to go.

Yes. And they should give every GM after him 6 months to turn the franchise around as well. That’s more than enough time for any GM to put a contender together.

The point I think you miss Ivan, is that this management team was promised their positions (at least Mayo) when Kraft thought the transition was going to be a coronation, rather than a complete rebuild.

Wouldn't you hire different people to continue an existing 20+ year dynasty than to begin a complete rebuild?

In one circumstance you keep most of the same people, which Kraft basically did. In the other you find someone with their own vision.

What is the vision of this management team? I see no consistency in philosophy. This situation is the result of Kraft making promises during different times he wasn't going to break.

Management was hired for a different situation. It's not the losing. Everything, but Maye, including the coaching and player selection is a complete mess because of hastily hired inexperienced leadership that was originally expected only to steer one of the best boats in the fleet.

He had one of the best running backs in league history in his prime....

No one plays that style anymore and he never got over the hump.

It's extremely misleading. He's a more successful version of what Mayo wants to be and we don't need that here.

Stop trying to chase BB clone. There isn't one. Not unless you have Brady.
If they get rid of Mayo, they need to get an offensive HC and move completely away from Bill. The most concerning issue with hiring Mayo was firing Bill only to promote a disciple

Imagine a cop saying he or she can only tell people what’s against the law and that’s all they can do.

This pile of that Mayo stepped in isn’t gonna be easy to clean up.

the GM had 100 million dollars to work with, and somehow put out a worse product. Are we really going to give him a second shot at a 100 million dollar offseason to sign a bunch of Jag's who are going to quit 3 weeks into the season?

I’m not trying to chase a BB clone. I’m trying to chase a coach who’s had some success and may be able to replicate it here. Jim Harbaugh was far and away my #1 choice once Belichick was gone, but the Pats showed no interest here, and he isn’t available anymore. Vrabel was my 2nd choice, and he’s still available.

Agreed. Now you are talking. AND they need to get rid of Wolf and Groh for the same reason. Wolf and Groh were a major part of the "BB stinks as a GM" problem. BB was an issue so now it is time to break from the BB underlings as well.

The concern is that 1. RK thinks he is saving money by hiring lower priced guys and 2. RK has interjected himself (including Robyn Glazer as his eyes) because he thinks he can prop up the lower level, lower paid management team.

Complete break from the BB approach. Ben Johnson in Detroit.

Barring a complete turnaround, if Kraft tried to keep Mayo for a third season, there will be a fan mutiny.

It takes two to tango. You can make a player a lucrative offer but if they don't want to play for the team, there's nothing you can do about it. Sure, everyone has their price but you have to be reasonable even with lucrative offers.

THIRD season?

I already decided not to buy Sunday ticket if they keep him NEXT year. Product is unwatchable.

One guy not watching won’t matter to the Krafts, but of enough people do it…might get noticed at 1 PP

This team is going nowhere until this corporate clown is fired. The more I read about his hiring and the more he opens his mouth over the course of the season, the worse it gets. Just an absolutely disastrous hiring by our senile, miser, pervert of an owner.

What does this even mean? Stay away from established coaches? We tried that with Mayo and it's a complete failure. The Titans tried this, the Browns, Bears, Jets, Colts, Panthers all hired 'up and coming' coaches and they've all failed or are failing. The Colts, Panthers and Titans hired up and coming offensive coaches, they all look like failures.

Ben Johnson may be good and his offense certainly looks great, but he's not coming with Dan Campbell. We've seen brilliant OCs go on to become HCs and they fail because they're not leaders.

Give me a proven leader of football teams and let that guy hire his staff. Harbaugh is doing this now with the Chargers who finally corrected their mistake of going after the 'up and coming guy' and hired a legit HC who knows what he's doing. They had a QB and now they finally have their HC.

Sad to see RKK lose so much because he's in his sunset years and making decisions based on regret & feelings.

I don't blame him for firing BB after last year - it was time, and he had his own string of 4-years of horrible decisions.

But, Kraft should have done the wise thing: Promote Stevie B to DC, make Mayo senior advisor/ asst. HC or some sh*t...
and either promote BOB to HC, or hire Vrabel, or hire Harbaugh... with a high value OC.
