Probably because BB gets blamed for ruining Mac. After all, it was Bill who allowed Patricia and Judge to mentor the GOAT Mac Jones.

Everybody knows that QBs that win the National Championship are NFL HOF bound.

I think it's evident that Bill was right about Mac, but he sabotaged himself by installing Patricia as the OC. It was too easy to point at Patricia as the problem even if Bill was right that Mac was regressing, teams were figuring him out and he was not elevating his own game, and he had some slight attitude issues. Additionally, Bill's poor drafting and hit-or-miss free agency decisions made it such that the problems on the team were myriad and hard to point to one single thing. If the team was fairly well-built, with a fairly respectable OC, and the QB play was bad, it would have been an easy sell. Bringing in Bill O'Brien at least somewhat solved the second issue, which to an extent proved that the QB was not good, but the team overall also got even worse, so it was really too late anyway.

I think the critical failure here was Bill's ego hiring his friends in 2022. If he could have put that aside and allowed himself to bring in and work with someone he didn't know well as his OC (and I can't imagine he would have had a hard time finding some good options, he's the GOAT), even despite the roster struggles he probably would have more successfully sold the idea that Mac isn't actually good and they need to move on while also not losing his own job. I guess maybe that's what happened in some alternate universe.

Brady was 15-25 for 179 yds with one pick-6 & no TDs in the first half of the Pats/Falcons Super Bowl, which led to a 21-3 Falcons lead at halftime. Their 6 drives were punt, punt, lost fumble, punt, pick-6 & a field goal. I am pretty sure the Pats fans were booing the team when they left the field. That's pretty much a sucky first half.

To give Brady all the credit for what happened in the second half is doing a disservice to James White, Julian Edelman and the incredible defense.

They probably win in the shootout had Butler played in 2017. His replacement Eric Rowe was responsible for 10 points on 2 consecutive drives to open the game.

Had the defense struggled against the Rams, they don’t win.

If you go back and watch the videos of the plays that were called early in that season, the TDs were there to be made. For instance, @ Miami, Parker was open for a bomb TD deep, but the ball was thrown too slow and short resulting in a INT. Playcall = good and Execution = bad. The first games were riddled with INTs and near INTs that the defense dropped. Vs Pittsburgh, another deep pass should have been an INT, but I believe it was Agahlor who tool it away from the Pitt DB.

These plays may have worked in practice wearing shorts and shoes, but I can't blame Patricia and Judge for calling plays that would have been successful with a real NFL QB.

In 2006, they should've lost to SD after Brady threw a game clinching INT. Troy Brown backed him up and stripped Marlon McCree who was ordered by his HC to fall to the ground after any late game INT.

They had no business losing to the Jets at home in 2010. They annihilate Pittsburgh a week later at home and beat Rodgers in a shootout in the Super Bowl.

Injuries derailed 2015, but the approach to the last two games of the season was some of the worst management I'd ever seen from Bill.

2012 was another missed opportunity. The Ravens were one of the worst Super Bowl winners in the last 20 years.

This take is BS. Brady didn't win those last 3 Super Bowls. The defense did. If not for Butler's INT, the D stopping the Falcons at 28 & the D holding the Rams to 3 (!) points, Brady would've been 3-5 in Patriots Super Bowls.

Add to that the fact that Brady caused both of the large deficits in the Seahawks & Falcons games with some terrible throws.
