Jaguar Mac Jones is about to embarrass the genius BB and his all star coaching staff [mod edit: he didn’t]

That damned tent falls when one does nothing about it.

Nothing to do with age and everything to do with what your mom said.

It seems like living healthy, eating right and exercising properly is an outlier these days and literally an act of civil and social disobedience.
Yup! Hate to say it but alcohol really has a negative impact the older you get. You are better off finding other ways to relax than using a known carcinogen. It's not easy.

Most mornings I feel much older than I'm ever likely to get. This past spring a former neighbor of ours passed away at 110. My wife said "Can you imagine living to 110?" I looked her square in the eye and replied "No, not in this F'n body I can't."

That's funny, but I thought your reply to your wife was gonna be "am or pm?" or something like that.

Thanks... I think.
I appreciate that in your mind's eye I am possessed of a certain wit, when in reality I'm just a cynical grumpy ol' bastard.

I've noticed the board has been pretty mild since some posters were either banned or left?

Is it because Tom and now Bill are gone and the Pats are bad? It seems like a reset around here.

No doubt it seems quiet these days and was wondering what happened to some posters myself. There's nothing like (what I would call fairweather fans) leaving their existing team because X player/coach is no longer there. My dad's one of em...no longer a Pats fan due to Brady leaving and then became a Bucs fan...I get it. It's even funnier when they come back.......Back in the 80s I was a Pats fan from day 1 and got frustrated with how things were going and was looking at other teams. I was semi-interested/following the Bills (don't kill me) but like old habits/addictions, went back to the source of my pain. I don't think I will stop being a fan (of our Pats) unless they do something I feel they absolutely shouldn't (like another post mentioned trading Drake).

There's a larger group which I would include myself that believe that Tom Brady ought to get a little more credit than BB for the dynasty simply for being the GOAT on the field at the most difficult position in sports and I have no doubt BB would agree. As for BB he is without a doubt an all time great arguably GOAT HC but over the last couple of seasons it became clear his time has passed and the team needed to move on. And funny thing is, I bet Bill himself knew it.

This take is BS. Brady didn't win those last 3 Super Bowls. The defense did. If not for Butler's INT, the D stopping the Falcons at 28 & the D holding the Rams to 3 (!) points, Brady would've been 3-5 in Patriots Super Bowls.

Add to that the fact that Brady caused both of the large deficits in the Seahawks & Falcons games with some terrible throws.

of course Brady won those 3 SBs. Who else was wearing #12? And Brady won 2 of 3 of those MVPs.

Amazing how some Patriots fans seem to still want to downplay the GoAT after all he did for this team. I’d expect that from Showtime15 but Brady broke him. Lol

If this and if that… that works both ways. If BB played his best tackling corner instead the SB instead of inexplicably benching him… or if his defense could get one stop in either Giants SB…

James White got hosed on one of those MVPs.

He was amazing but Brady wasn’t a crazy selection. IMO you gotta give it to the QB in a historic comeback like that.

As fans we make a certain level of individual commiment. I can totally understand moving away from actively supporting a team you feel is no longer holding up their end of the deal. My brother and I badgered our father the Giants fan into taking us to Pats games at Fenway. As adults we split season tickets through the incompetence that was the Sullivans but we drew the line at how dirty it felt to suppport scummy Victor Kiam and did not renew. Losing is one thing, low character is another and we simply could not stomach giving moiney to Kiam. (As a side note, Sox ownership is now held in similar contempt albeit for different reasons.) We missed going to games and talked it over when Otis The Carpetbagger bought the team from Kiam but realized we couldn't justify giving financial assistance to the guy trying to steal our team. During the Kiam and Orthwein years we still rooted for the Pats, we just couldn't bring ourselves to pay owners we held in contempt. Our hypocrisy has its limits.

When Kraft bought the team we re-upped. Sure winning is better than losing but a committed local ownership was worth our emotional and monetary buy in so long as they're trying to win. After 6 Lombardis any further winning is simply a bonus.

The delusion on your part is sad. If Butler doesn't make that pick - Pats lose. If the D doesn't stuff the Falcons on 4 drives, including one where they were 1st & 10 at the 22 - they lose. If the D doesn't stop the Rams 11 (!!!!) times on defense in 2019 - they lose.

Brady had nothing to do with the D stopping those teams.

You want us to give Brady full credit for every win, but he kinda sucked in some of those games, especially that Falcons game, where he practically gave it away with that pick 6 that put them in a 21-0 hole.

Brady + Belichick's D won those games. Giving the credit to Brady is totally delusional.

I forgot about the other 2 useless fck owners (Kiam/Orth) who made me sick and drove me away......Incompetent is a very good word to describe the Sullivans and I will say Kraft did a really good job of turning things around after he bought them.

My friends, this is supposed to be a thread for pointing and laughing about a terrible prediction that Mac would be good after he left and he was obviously not. I don’t know how or why it transformed into yet another “I hate Bill Belichick” thread.
Probably because BB gets blamed for ruining Mac. After all, it was Bill who allowed Patricia and Judge to mentor the GOAT Mac Jones.

Everybody knows that QBs that win the National Championship are NFL HOF bound.

Again you’re saying if this if that… it works both ways. I can say Pats have a threepeat if Bill doesn’t bench Butler and if Bill’s defense could stop Eli at least once when it mattered, Brady would have 9 or 10 rings.

Brady kind of sucked in the Falcons game? 466 passing a SB record only broken by himself, 95 rating is “sucked”? Say what?

Yes the defense was mostly responsible for SB 53, along with Goff and McVay not being ready for the moment. Pats don’t even get to SB53 without Brady’s heroics in the AFCCG… and he was the guy throwing to the MVP of that game…so he ought to get a lot more credit then some say.

This is rich coming from you when your entire existence on this board is centered around your own sick twisted want to downplay our GOATs after all they did for this team.

Look at what you're saying here - if Bill (without any real evidence that it was him) didn't bench a defensive player, Brady would have won another Super Bowl. So make up your mind. First you say that the wins are all because of Brady but in the games where Brady played and they still lost, it's someone else's fault. Brady by himself was not some mythical creature whose mere presence guaranteed a win.

Brady was a great QB on a team with a lot of great players, particularly on defense. He was not the sole reason they won or lost every game he played. Thinking this is just crazy talk.

“Twisted” thems fightin words That would be like me complaining about a Brady int and then being called a Brady hater. Lmao
