Maye Mac Jones.

The ball floated in like a goose.

No. I like our chances in OT. We had the better QB.

Problem was the soft D. Can’t stop the run? That is a firing offense. Demarcus Covington, please explain.

Yes. The D was gassed and getting gashed. One play, win or lose.

What was the definition of a “soft” team again?

1. Can’t run the ball: check
2. Can’t stop the run: check
3. Can’t cover kicks: I guess this was good

So they’re two-thirds soft, like when your wife asks if these shorts are too tight

I am unreasonably upset with that last play call. Last year I was yearning for losses. I wanted them, expected them...the team for its future needed them.

I wanted Maye to shove it down every haters throats and he made a mistake that shouldn't happen and the ball wasn't thrown great either. Then again, way to much is on his shoulders right now and the fact he keeps going, and going like the Energizer bunny is remarkable.

Learn from it Maye, and I trust you will. Great things are ahead of you.
Not sure why they kept going for bombs downfield, had plenty of time. But I don’t think it was a bad decision, just a bad throw. If he leads Boutte vertically, he has the corner completely beat and the safety doesn’t catch up, and it’s the game winning TD unless Boutte drops it. Instead the throw was short and horizontal.

This is fine. They fought their asses off. The QB showed he had set and could make plays even if he has areas to improve. The defense struggled a bit but they got stops when they needed to. The WR’s are an issue. We knew that for 5 years. The team needs talent.

Drake took too many hits. He went headfirst to get a first down in front of two linebackers. Had his head rebound back.

Gotta take better care of his health. We ain’t in the AFC Championship.

Today was a great day. Panthers won, we lost AND we found out that Maye can be that guy to drive to tie it up late in the game.

Long term today will benefit us in ways that winning never could. The titans were ****ing awful and truly felt like they were throwing it.

They won't win another game this year.
If the complete the winning formula by canning Mayo and his staff in a few weeks then I can agree with you.

Yes. The D was gassed and getting gashed. One play, win or lose.
Pollard was probably the worst RB we could gave faced with a gassed defense

Maye made a lot of plays and a lot of mistakes. Which i am totally fine with. If he is still playing like this the last month of the year, maybe i'll be a little concerned. But one thing i didn't like about BB when it came to QBs is how much he wanted to instill in them being a game manager and avoiding mistakes. That seemed to be his first concern. Personally I think it should be one of the last things you worry about with a rookie. You don't want to say it is okay to make mistakes, but you need to let them learn what they can and can not do at this level. The only way to learn is to push it a little, get picked, get sacked, all that stuff. Particularly for a first year player at the position who is as raw as Maye. He will never really learn that hole in double coverage isn't something he can fit the ball through down field the way he could in college unless he fails. At least he won't learn as fast. And i want him to learn ASAP.

The Pats are on a 5 year window to take advantage of Maye's rookie deal. Even if they make the playoffs next year likely it will be a learning experience as young QBs tend to fail their first time around.

Unfortunately I couldn't watch it, but stats are pretty fkn pathetic.
Stats don't lie.

What a fkn disgrace.

Currently 9 teams with 2 wins
28% of the NFL

What a phucking disgrace

Note: Pats 0-3 vs other 2-win teams

I do like some of the ballsy throws Maye attempted in OT. Guys like Daniel jones don’t even make those attempts. Maye tries to throw guys open. That’s a good sign imo. I want a play making passer at qb and not a sterile simp like Daniel jones or Herbert.

Number 1 pick odds just got better.
