I do like some of the ballsy throws Maye attempted in OT. Guys like Daniel jones don’t even make those attempts. Maye tries to throw guys open. That’s a good sign imo. I want a play making passer at qb and not a sterile simp like Daniel jones or Herbert.
Gunslinger QB’s ala Bledsoe and Favre have their pros and cons. We just saw one of those cons.

Good experience for maye, cool as a cucumber on the game tying drive. Huge mistake in ot, gotta learn from it. He needs to slide more too. The team , although very flawed, fought and they never quit.

OL took a big step backwards today after a few decent performances. This was the type of performance where you get a little nervous about maye’s ability to last the year, he took a beating today. For 2025 purposes its good if they do wake up and start investing in OL. Still need wr’s too. And a new oc.

Two bad teams played a competitive game. But the Titans have done dudes in the lines, especially the D line.

But we lose to that QB who is not starter material shows how our DEFENSE HAS REGRESSED. All three levels.

Maye was not the problem. I thought the game plan and offensive play calling was not competitive. Tennessee defensive line was superior to our offensive line. Who was the genius that thought inserting Robinson into the lineup at guard was a good idea? Defense was not competitive either. Middle was always open, couldn't stop the run. White was the only consistent performer.

If the complete the winning formula by canning Mayo and his staff in a few weeks then I can agree with you.

That's the hope. Im hoping we can leverage the first overall pick and jumpstart the process.

The dream is still alive.

We all knew Maye would be a roller coaster at times, ugly games should be expected.

This is a bad team, when you can’t run the ball, stop the run, or rush the passer, you’re going to suck.

First loss of the year that I can say I am truly disappointed by. All the other losses throughout the season weren't surprising, but this was a game we definitely should've had. From the beginning of the whistle, the Titans played tougher than we did. It was evident in their run game, their run d, and their pass rush. They were providing pressure one way or another all game long. The fact the game was so close is shocking. Once again penalties came back roaring and killed a few drives. The running game once again couldn't get going. Hey, when you're supposed to be tough and built off the run but consistently cant run, what are you? Drake Maye tried to bring the heroics but he couldn't overcome his own mistakes in this one. He's a rookie and has a lot going on, I'll cut him some slack, but let's not pretend he had a clean game. Hopefully a good learning experience for him. It's gonna be a long week for Mayo and Co, as it should.

Maye is going to be good - if he doesn't develop Farve-like habits from trying to carry this pathetic team virtually alone.

This D, granted very depleted, stinks on ice. Not just from lack of talent - everything to do with them is awful - the coaching, the gameplans, the in-game mal-adjustments, the lack of heart, everything. Covington's completely out of his depth and Mayo looks like a fraud. He learned nothing from Belichick.

Oh, and AVP, - well, don't let me go down that path...

You can win a SB with those guys, but probably not a dynasty. I’m not convinced he’s actually a gunslinger though, he is just pressing playing “hero ball” because the team is so bad and getting pushed into being one. On a good team he would be making generally smarter or safer plays more often.

Some people are getting on Gonzo's case but the real culprit is we don't have a free safety, yet we're still playing zone.

In OT, Jaylinn Hawkins blew both catches by Ridley.

He was standing right where Ridley caught the ball, Gonzo had outside contain, and Hawkins vacated his spot to run after Jackson on the boundary.

That wasn't Hawkins's responsibility.

We are very weak at free safety, he was a poor FA signing, and we have no one on the team who can play the position.

We haven't really had a guy there for 3 years since old McCourty was a shell of himself.
Play BoneyT at FS. He's wicked fast ...

Only one conclusion: This team doesn't deserve Drake Maye as their quarterback.

Offensive play calling is unimaginative and predictable

Defense has gone from top 15 last season to one of the worst in the nfl

We screw up the end of half clock management every week

Just so poorly coached

Get the first overall pick while showing Maye is good, fire Mayo and crew, attract a good offensive HC who wants to work with Maye, spend tons of cash on offensive and defensive pieces in free agency, trade the 1st overall pick for a nice sum with whoever wants the top QB.

You’d definitely be able to turn this team into a good unit fast that way. Might even be able to get a guy like Ben Johnson.
