Boutte is definitely trending that way, on tape and with advanced analytics. For a 22-year-old receiver playing like he is the odds are pretty good he's going to be your #2.

Does this say Polk is by far, the worst separation of any receiver in the league, after all of the bluster around here that he was doings tremendous job getting open and his worst in 50 year production as a starting wr was all the QBs fault?

The surprising thing is that he has had the opportunity to drop so many passes. You have to get open to do that. LOL
Don't know if my sarcasm detector is off, but he has dropped many of those passes during contact which was supposed to be his strength.

Yes - worst separation and catch metric in the league. Osborne is also third worst (practically tied for second-worst) receiver in the league on these combined metrics.

Note Douglas is elite on separation, and Boutte on catchpoint/YAC.

So the argument being made here that Polk was doing a great job, getting open all the time and it was the QBs fault that a starting WR put up 11 receiving yards a game, was all fake?
Explains the offense improving with Polk catching no passes or being on the bench.
Looks like an epic bust, hopefully he can improve.

That's a virtual certainty - can only go up from here.

In his defense, he's not a WR1 but (if I recall correctly) he had the top corner on him for several of these games. He's had good hands in the past and that's not something you typically lose permanently. Once they open up the playbook a bit more with Maye, then I expect to see all the receivers do quite a bit better.

Titans look a like Terrible injury riddled Team, should be a good Breakout game for our WR's.

Best hands in the league... I try not to be so negative when young players go through growing pains. His combination of bad results and lack of ownership of those results does not bode well for his future. Hopefully his boasts are just immaturity and not self satisfaction.

I think best hands in the league were more about positive affirmation which is common with current gen as opposed to nuanced or measured approach.

I don't think he meant it as a brag but more so as a self confidence thing to motivate himself . He should have kept that thought to himself but due to immaturity blurted out to media and got burnt .

He did have great camp and even in college was playing really well. Can't drop so bad all of a sudden and first 3 games some PFF metric or something said Polk was open a lot and brissett did not even make him his read.

We don't have much to lose so just keep playing them till the ball sticks on their hand. It would eventually .

Play Boutte and pop more and alternate between Bourne and Polk . Tyquan should get another game or 2 before baker replaces him. If baker is completely unbaked from a readiness perspective just redshirt him for this year.

Generation doesn’t excuse a bad attitude.

The “metric” was posters here saying “he’s open all the time blame the Qb” which is incorrect and next gen stats shows he has BY FAR the least separation of any qualifying WR.
