Patriots Player Departure Josh Uche traded to Chiefs for 2026 6th

Uche has been here for 5 years and 2022 was the only year he was demonstrably better than he's been this year. So I don't really get what Bill is talking about. The one year they made the playoffs and played with leads most of the time he wasn't getting more sacks. He only plays well when offenses have to worry about one or two other rushers as a priority and he is an afterthought.
He was good for 5 games. Awful before awful since.

You are right I would much rather have Uche not properly setting the edge and allowing QBs to run all over the filed. Uche is and has always been crap. I have been very hopeful for him, but it was time.
He is not good against the run. Like at all.

Make a decision on Judon without thinking of the impact that could have on other
lower salary players is not being a good GM ... last I checked it's called a team and they need to compliment each other.

I think the return for uche was fair and I think wolf did a good job. I hope wolf can move Osborn as well

Something happened to Stephon Diggs and Houston coukd be in the market for a WR.

Bourne?

Pick 199 in 2026

because he is not part of the future, so why not get a 6th over nothing when he leaves in the midseason. Seems like a no brainer
Exactly

Players coach? Mayo? What does that mean? Players are suppose to like you? How about trading for a tackle?

A players coach is one of the guys.

Discipline is set on low not to ruffle any feathers. So, lots of stuff slides. Mayo said its OK for the Pats players to be on social media, but that he wishes that they would keep business in house.

Belichick agrees with you, BTW. He said that we would have gotten a 6th round comp pick in 2026 anyway…

It is what it is… and Jennings had a big day yesterday. I’d rather coach up his pass rush skills or lack thereof and have him out there in early downs….
Bill drafted Uche so he's always going to talk up guys he drafted wich is normal for any HC to do. He knows Uche has been MIA since 2022. I agree Jennings has more upside he's also one of the best edge settings LBs in the league he just needs to keep working on his rush skills.

Lombardi claiming Wolf turned down a 5th from KC for Uche earlier in the season....KC went on to use that pick to get Hopkins....so according to Lombardi, Wolf had to settle for a 6th in 26

Chiefs aren’t going 20-0. They just beat the Raiders by 7 and have been aided by the refs seversl times. Luck will run out eventually.

And the Patriots won a Championship by aid of the tuck rule luck counts.

Devante Adams fetched a 4th round pick, yall were really expecting the same for bum Uche?

PatsFans fo you always overrating crappy one dimensional players.

Getting rid of Uche makes sense because he is limited on the field and not providing any leadership off the field. By the same criteria Osborn should be next. Any vet, regardless of term and age, who is part of the core group that is actively part of the group who is stepping up their leadership profile should be kept. Helping to create the new culture with the young players is way more important than a future late round draft pick.
