Polk has stone hands, he isn't fast. Can we consider this offseason debate settled now... should have gone lineman with the 2nd rounder, and should have signed better free agent linemen.
Polk should have been benched already, but that would take a head coach with big brass balls to bench a high round pick WR... like Vrabel punished AJ Brown as a rookie or Shanahan outright benched Deebo Samuel as a rookie. Rookies need to learn, you don't teach them by rewarding them when they screw up with more playing time.
The details matter…this team is very clearly worse at basic things than last year’s team. In fact, I’d venture to say if Maye was the QB last year they win 2-4 more games.
This year’s team has no answers to anything at all.
That isn’t to suggest Bill should have stayed…it was time.
It IS to suggest that Kraft horrifically botched literally every hire he made.
And maye only played in 1.5 games so far so by that logic you really can’t prove anything.
I agree that Kraft hasn’t been great but firing the coach in the first year of an obviously talent deficient roster and start of a rebuild with a new regime is not how you build confidence in your organization at all.
Damn imagine Drake Maye if he had BB for head coach Josh McDaniels for OC and Joe Judge on ST and Scar as OL coach. You know now that I think of it maybe Brady WAS a system QB
