Imagine firing Bill and replacing him with a bunch of Bill bobos none of whom have been able to coach without him for 20 years.
Firing Bill was the right decision because of age and the lack of time for the rebuild but not hiring someone with experience like Vrabel or an offensive Shanahan or McVay tree type was the mistake.
I’m not praising mayo at all but like I said in my previous posts, we went 4-13 last season. Acting like this team would be a 9-10 win team with a different coaching staff is laughable. We’ve had major injuries and let our best defensive player walk. I highly doubt that was all Mayo. As a group i agree I’m disappointed but actually suggesting that firing mayo makes sense at this juncture is laughable.
The details matter…this team is very clearly worse at basic things than last year’s team. In fact, I’d venture to say if Maye was the QB last year they win 2-4 more games.
This year’s team has no answers to anything at all.
That isn’t to suggest Bill should have stayed…it was time.
It IS to suggest that Kraft horrifically botched literally every hire he made.

I want to see Maye throw 30+ passes this half and top it down the field
