WTF? 1974 had Hannah, Gray, Lenkaitis on the left side with Sam Adams and tom Nevile on the right side. Maybe one of the best offensive lines, not the worst. Allowed only 21 sacks and rushed for 150 yards per game.I was thinking 1974. I can't remember an o-line this bad, actually don't think the 1974 line was this bad
I'd love to see a replay of the hold that took Marcus Jones's 40 yard punt return away, given the fact that the Texans had egregious holds on the OL all day long.Pats weren’t going to win this game anyway, but that was the worst officiated Patriots game I’ve seen in a while. From that, to the phantom PI, to the non-reversal of the TD where Gonzo pushed him out at the 1, to the “false start” by Maye because of the defense going offsides. There was even one play where the Texans got hosed, I can’t remember which one. NFL needs to be much better than this.
Yup, some around here were secretly hoping he played like dog **** and got pummeled just so they could jump up and say "See, I TOLD YOU!"Couldn’t have had a better debut. I think he was referring to Baker's comment (not Polk) when he was drafted that he {Baker} would make people in wheelchairs stand up.Ok, but it’s an odd reference for you to make about people in wheelchairs.
Anyone who suggested playing Milton or bringing back Zappe should be ashamed of themselves,Yup, some around here were secretly hoping he played like dog **** and got pummeled just so they could jump up and say "See, I TOLD YOU!"
Don't forget the EGREGIOUS facemask on Gibson that wasn't called.Pats weren’t going to win this game anyway, but that was the worst officiated Patriots game I’ve seen in a while. Pretty much agree. Maye looked raw to me — could see exactly why he was picked high on many plays, and could see why the Pats didn’t start him right away on many others. But he bounced back after every bad play, no bad body language from what I could see, no real panic outside of the first series, and on the whole looked like he was improving as the game went on. Can see the promise here. Now it’s up to him to put in the work to improve so he’s able to be consistently good. If he can, the sky’s the limit. If not, well, let’s just hope he can.I was happy with what I saw from Maye, he showed a mental ability to bounce back from a 2 INT, 1 fumble effort. The kid showed grit.
I initially thought it was a bad decision to start Maye vs Houston rather than Jax next week, but in retrospect, I think it's just as well that he gets punched in the mouth right off the bat so he stays humble and understands never to take this game for granted.
That was the post I responded to (had a video of it).Don't forget the EGREGIOUS facemask on Gibson that wasn't called.
your right, your memory is better than mine. what i was attempting to say was i go back to 74, and i can't remember a line this badWTF? 1974 had Hannah, Gray, Lenkaitis on the left side with Sam Adams and tom Nevile on the right side.
