Leverett was the biggest problem last week would probably still be too soon and asking a lot of Strange if he could be ready to start at Center.
Agreed... the OL just got a huge boost by simply having maye.. I give mayo credit for making this move. Brissett seemed very short with Andy hart on WEEI yesterday.. that his tone was completely different was telling.

It actually did because he is playing well now.
If he hasn’t played then, he’d be seeing ghosts now. See how that works? If you aren’t ready, you get ready by playing.

He hasn't played for the Jets in three years and he is just now playing well. He had pretty much relearn the position.

Why would he be seeing ghosts now if didn't see them in NY? The Vikings have a pretty good line. So no, I don't see how that works.

Because Adams has to agree to a new contract and there is zero incentive for him to do so.
Maye is the incentive. I don't care about wins or losses right now it's about maye and bis development.. we need him playing to get to where we want to be next season.. we have the cap room.. give him a 2 year extension

Wozzy likes to assume alot of things.. LOL at least mayo realized after 5 weeks he needed a QB and not 4 years
Definitely. All the crap Mayo took us in a different might now. He really knew better but was afraid to pull the trigger. That’s experience not stupidity.

Like you assumed Brissett was an "above average QB"?
There's 32 teams in the NFL, each team has at least two QB's and some teams like the Patriots have three. Jacoby is better than half the backups and many of the bottom tier starters in the NFL = better than average genius.

You're as bad at math as you are logic.

1. Not just on this topic but I feel like the organizaiton has begun catering to public sentiment too much. Say what you want about Bill but nobody would accuse him of that.

2. I didn't want Maye in the draft. The only guy I wanted of the big three was Daniels. Once he was gone I wanted a trade down with the Giants and they could have gotten the LT and WR. That said I hope I'm wrong and the kid is the second coming.

3. If you were going to start him last week vs Miami would have been a much easier defense to make your first start against.

4. This season is already toast. Barmore, Bentley, Andrews....too many kiey injuries. I would have played for the top pick, traded down and got the LT and #1 WR of the future.. With this OL I hope Maye doesn't get hurt or develop PTSD from getting killed.

5. Joe Milton, put on your helmet and get to the on deck circle.

He LEARNED. He EXPERIENCED pressure, and by playing learned how to deal with it.
He wouldn’t learn that on the bench. So that flaw in his game would still be there if he hadn’t played through it.

Lol and I assume a lot? Maye got sacked twice on 8 passing attempts the last game he played.

Maybe we should see him play first?

Well you will get a chance to see a real QB play you haven't see one in 5 seasons. Lol

Hahahahahahahshahaha

If they think he is ready, I am all for it. If they are rushing his timeline because Brissett is a disaster, I think it is stupid.

Don't rush him so the Pats can win a few more games in a lost season. That is just silly.

But they feel he has gotten his footwork down, understands how to read defenses at the NFL enough, etc. then playing him will be worth it for his development.

Sitting him or playing him, my opinion is the same. The #1 priority this year is his development. Wins and losses are irrelevant.
Sounds smart in practice and the only way to approach it but it is never so straightforward when so many people's jobs are on the line and fans are screaming bloody murder.

Not even 140 yards passing per game, 5.2 YPA, 74 rating, 17 sacks

"Better than average"

Maye is going to clobbered on Sunday.

No vet receiver looks at an unproven rookie as an incentive... they want to play with a sure thing.

Calm down buddy, you're shooting your load prematurely...

It seriously doesn’t matter how he plays. It matters how he improves and develops.
He might make a bunch of mistakes this week. As long as he makes less next week, grows and learns each game this will be a success.

More buffoonery from Route One North Amateur hour....

They should've started him against a weak Miami pass rush, let him get his feet wet, and have a game under his belt for Houston....or waited for after the Houston game....Kraft is a ****ing moron as is his token head coach
Yup, my only guess is they had another new line for Miami and wanted to see if they were OK enough to play Maye. They will play same line 2 weeks in a row for the first time, in that way you can see the thinking, but it was Miami so should have played him.
First game will be his worst, so might as well get that experience over with in a game you are likely not winning anyways. Then he will be better the next week.
