This is a definite loss now. Bombs away for Tyreek and waddle... wait it gets better.. next week with Houston!
Hill was was open at will against the titans. Huntley just couldn’t get him the ball. Now he has one more week in their system. You better hope that he doesn’t start to hit in those shot.

Hope is all we have left at this point. Both starting safeties out. This could be disastrous.

I guess we could start Jon Jones and Hawkins at safety, or even Jones and Mapu.
Your right. It's time to move j. Jones are safety.. I see alot of explosion tomorrow for Miami. Wait until next week when the Texans run us down.

I haven’t watched Miami play a full game this year but I’ve watched every minutes of the Pats games. Can’t really wrap my head around how the line for this game isn’t bigger given that the Pats aren’t good and will be without their starting safeties and center.

I think Mapu probably starts at SS and Hawkins at FS. I feel like he's worked more at DB than LB although I'd rather see him as a coverage LB. I think the distinction between an in the box safety and a coverage backer isn't that different so hopefully he's ready to go at either because now we need him.

This is a must win game for the Pats.
Must win? Okay, maybe for the fans...the media too.

Clickbait - better than any other fishing lure around.

Coming into the season this was MAYBE a three-to-five win team - even WITH Judon, Bentley and Barmore. Teams with those projected win totals don't have "must win" games because win totals denote the opportunity for something past the regular season to play for.

The only thing this team has to play for is the double Ds - development and draft. The wailing and gnashing of teeth to tear it all down again - ownership, coaching, players, and staff (BURN IT ALL DOWN!!!)....is just noise for attention because it aint happening. Pieces parts - sure they could try yet another OC next year and reset the clock again, but a full reboot? No way.

Harbinger... of the future QB1... Heading right for Florida...

In all seriousness, I hope the storm ends up being relatively innocuous.

Milton will never be a QB1 on this team (barring injury).

I know it’s a 3rd string QB but the WRs are still very dangerous without top starting safeties.

I have no idea what to expect from Mapu. The brief time I saw him, I questioned his instincts. Seemed a step late.

I wanted to get back to this to point out what's become a real dilemma for Mayo. Bedard argues that the coaching staff is at a "crossroad."

But to me, the only person who's really at a crossroad is Mayo himself, who has a real challenge facing him right now. We're aware of a clear cut case of mutiny growing within the ranks because the QB driving the offense is driving like grandma drives a schoolbus (to use a metaphor I have used before). That schoolbus is going to feel like it's never to get anywhere, so the frustration is understandable.

But- if Mayo gives ground or makes concessions to this mutiny, the inmates are going to think they can run the asylum anytime they want, especially when there is a problem. This won't be the last problem that this young team lacking an identity, will face, as it grows into its identity over the next few years.

So that's the real "crossroad" for Mayo. Does he remain the "player-friendly" coach and acknowledge or respect their frustration and risk his standing? Or does he take a page from the BB playbook, throw down the gauntlet and not yield an inch? He will lose the personal touch but be able to keep that locker room in order.

Or can he find some sort of middle ground?

Interesting times are ahead... for sure.
It seems to be that people are saying he has to choose to be a "players friendly" coach or be a disciplinarian. I guess I don't understand why it is one or the other because I now enough people in the pro and college football world to know that a players coach can also be strict.

To clarify, I don't know through experience but 'know' based on things I have been told by coaches at various levels. off the topic but I am very excited to see Kromah, Johnson, Mathis and Roy on the field. Take some reps from Pharms and Eukale, not that they are bad but we need to generate some sacks/pressure with people other than White.

I was wondering how Brissett could have such a good TD to INT ratio. Then I realized that many of his passes end up nowhere near the players on either team.

I wonder if everyone will give Mayo the same grief that Bill got over Welker or Butler lol. Not such a simple answer when you actually see discipline is a problem.
The two examples you give of Bill showing his style of discipline led to losses, one of which is still talked about.

This team doesn't have a discipline problem. They have a talent problem.
