However, $140M is a reasonable number considering that we will carryover $25M or so.I heard that we will have had over 140 million next off season? Is that so.?
It best if we got a 5 to 7 game sample of Drake. As I was saying we need to have him on tape.. it's vital.. going into march of 25. If we have at least that and some film on his bombs to Tyquan and polk.. his deep post to baker.. his escapablities.. how he helps the OL..
Maye chants and/or boos for Jacoby get louder at least...Sheesh. I haven't really thought about a prediction yet, but it seems the possibility the Pats might lose to the hapless Dolphins is a real consideration. That's shocking to me. What will be the dialog - among fans, within the team - if that actually happens? Very strange we must even consider such a thing, isn't it?
It's their job to overreact and attract viewers. However, the one thing I do think will be asked eventually is whether it was a mistake letting Bill go?Bedard is slamming the team and its coaches from pillar to post. I know he loves to rant, but this is even outside his ample envelope. Weird.
anyone who isn't left handed. can't take left-handed QBs seriouslyHe may not have the arm strength like Herbert and some of these guys, but his accuracy and anticipation for short and intermediate passes are as good as any in the league. I don't think he's elite but he's a legit NFL starter. If you don't think so, then I want to see your list for who you consider a legit NFL QB.
I actually think Bedard's negative view of the team is largely justified, notwithstanding his penchant for hyperbole. As for firing Bill, the only criticism would be that it ought to have been done a couple of years earlier. The Krafts were as smart to hire him as they were to fire him, because what he was when they hired him was vastly different from what became when it came time to fire him. It's their job to overreact and attract viewers. Yep, at least.Maye chants and/or boos for Jacoby get louder at least...
sundays are about to get a lot more nap friendlyLooks like we won't have Andrews and Dugger for at least a few weeks. Two more captains down the tube.
No doubt the team was on decline since 2020, but Bob had 20 years of being in cruise control and fires Bill after a few losing seasons. However, the documentary showed they were butting heads more than we were lead to believe and Bob was ready to fire Bill after 2001.I actually think Bedard's negative view of the team is largely justified, notwithstanding his penchant for hyperbole. The only players I watch for are Gonzalez and White.sundays are about to get a lot more nap friendly
Heh. When things are this dismal, it's hard to know what to think about anything. Sundays game was so definitively bad that one is inclined to damn everything and everybody associated with the team. That's a mistaken view, but it takes a while to see straight after such a train wreck. I am genbuinely grateful for all bIll gave us, but in his last couple years or so, he was a bad HC and a worse GM. It happens. There's a part of me that thinks because of what Bill has done for the organization, he gets another shot of fixing it. Another part of me thinks both he and Bob needed to part ways.

I don't think he ever had the locker room. The players know they can take advantage of an inexperienced coach. No it wasn’t a mistake letting Bill go.
I think Bedard is right for once. Externally at the very least it seems Mayo has no grip on his team. You have Polk and Pop throwing tantrum on the field, Godchaux calling teammates selfish.
I think Mayo is walking a fine line at the moment. If they lose against Miami with Brissett sucking again and you still name him the starter, I think Mayo could lose the locker room at that point.
Eh I think "never had the locker room" is kind of a stretch especially after week 1 and heck even after week 2. These last 2 weeks have been abysmal though and I agree that if we keep in this trend of not even being competitive he's gonna lose emI don't think he ever had the locker room. If they didn't buy into Bill, why would they buy into Mayo?

Yeah sorry missed the QB, hence why they took Maye. You don't think they needed a QB?
Honestly if Brissett doesn’t play better the only Mayo has to not lose the locker room is start Maye. Because by all account Drake Maye has been really good in practice. It will be harder and harder justifying to all the other player that also give their bodies to this team that you don’t play the best guy because he is too important.Eh I think "never had the locker room" is kind of a stretch especially after week 1 and heck even after week 2. I think he has to start putting foot in ass a little more too. BB went a little extreme with the punishment--not seeing players for months because of a routine mistake. But Mayo is on the opposite end of the nice guy spectrum. Rhamondre shouldn't have taken another snap after his fumble vs the 49ers. But if I remember correctly he missed maybe 1 series and was right back. Where's the accountability?Honestly if Brissett doesn’t play better the only Mayo has to not lose the locker room is start Maye. Because by all account Drake Maye has been really good in practice. There is none. Mayo started TC by saying that it’s a meritocracy and the best player will play then the best player wasn’t playing and player that plays bad are still rewarded by keeping their job.I think he has to start putting foot in ass a little more too.
