Let them go if 1-3 on a rebuilding team is too much for them. We had the Brady exodus, the Belichick exodus and now the bandwagon exodus. Most of us are fine with that.
I don't think 1-3 is too much it's how it's looking.. well.. I have to think we are patient fans we've been rebuilding for 4 seasons now..

If there's a starter-level free agent available, sign him.

If there's a quality swing tackle available, sign him.

If there's a guy buried on a depth chart somewhere who has upside, trade for him.

Draft a tackle in the first round.

Draft another one on day three.

This problem needs a multi-pronged approach in the offseason, because there are too few good tackles in the world today to put all your hopes on one angle, and they need an almost complete overhaul at the position anyway.

Tackle (and OL in general) needs to be priority 1, 2, and 3 this offseason. Without it everything else gets stunted, as we're seeing this year.
Yes, we need to sign an 0T or two before the draft and then do what we need to do in the draft.

Last year, free agency was a mess for us with all the extra cap money and us needing to laser focus on QB in the draft. Next year, the situaion will be different.
1) We will go into the off-season with a coaching staff and QB in place. This will make the team more attractive to free agents.
2) We will be willing to spend our $100M a year now that we have a QB.
3) We can use our top picks for a WR trade and to trade for what needs haven't been filled, including at least one OL, likely two again.

We need to have glasses to see far away, to better focus into 2025 and 2026.

This kinda occurred to me imagine if the Dolphins stink to the point of being in the running for the #1 Overall. I wouldn't be happy if Arc Manning ends up there just a thought. You don't have to convince me about those Mannings.
I would vomit, but Manning s not eligible til 2026 I am pretty sure. 2026 looks like it is going to be a stupid QB draft class with Manning, Iamaleva and Raiola. Those kids all look very good as well as a few others. Still a long way off but looking good, so if Maye ever plays we should know if we need to focus on the year for a QB and pull the Ole Carolina where we bench a young QB after we broke him.

Yes if course the goal was always about next season and beyond. However 2024 is an important season for many reasons.. there needs to be an allure to NE for FAs.. we have none of that right now. When Drake takes over and does well like I fully expect him too then that will be a great thing. Right now it's looking so bad .

One has to wonder if Tua will even play again this season? I saw Huntley complete a 20 yard pass. Starting to think maybe we should have signed him instead of Brissett

No, Gardner Minshew.

No, Gardner Minshew.
Yes another better option.. I know Brissett isn't 100% of the problem.. however he's far from the solution either. In retrospect.. the 8 million Brissett got should have went to a LT and kept Zapp on his rookie deal.

McDaniel not looking like a genius anymore without a legit QB even with all the weapons they have.

If we can avoid turnovers, we should beat this team. Question is, should we? We might as well start looking at draft positions if Mayo isn't at all in a rush to play Maye.

If you saw the Miami game tonight… this is an easy win. They got stomped on at home by the freaking Titans despite Will Levis throwing a pick and then injuring himself in the first quarter by diving for the pylon and landing on his throwing shoulder for no reason. They were dominated by Mason Rudolph handing off to his two RBs Pollard and Spears all day. Huntley looked atrociously bad. Tyreek was screaming at everyone on the sideline. Mike McDaniel just stared into the void not speaking or moving all night. Then Phillips got hurt. That team is a train wreck
Love your viewpoint.. but.. I guess my windows to foggy to see any hope from the offense. I'm not sure that Rudolph isn't a better QB than we have right now. It's a complete and utter joke what have to call an OL in 2024 NFL. Injuries happen can't hold that against them.. but boy ross.. is it so hard to watch this offense. Miami still has an aggressive defense and they are a division opponent.. we Inconceivablly the worst offense in football.

I don't think it's realistic to think anything on offense gets resolved this week. Miami isn't a great defense, but I don't think it takes a great defense to play well against our offense right now.

What this week CAN be is a chance to reset the defense a little. Not that anyone should come out of it thinking everything's good if they perform well against whatever QB Miami decides to trot out there, but right now they just need to get back to playing together, playing disciplined, and getting a few pours back into their confidence mug. If they can pull off a gritty win by keeping control on offense and doing what they should on defense, this can at least earn them some buy in for the time being.

This, the Jags and the Titans are the only games left on the schedule that I feel like they have a chance to dictate their own terms. Every other game would take some lucky breaks.

he never had a legit QB

I was just going to post, after watching his tape, that I finally found a QB playing worse than Jacoby, it is Huntley. He had 2 TD's to Hill he missed, worst deep ball thrower I've seen in a long time. Kind of meh as a runner too. One pass he can make is the 7-10 yard out to the sidelines.
For the first time this year we will have an advantage at the QB position.
They have a good and creative offensive mind, Tyreek Hill is great. QB is terrible, keep him in the pocket and cover Hill, that's it.

Interesting... so there actually is a QB worse... so Huntley is huh.. well hopefully he doesn't hit us for 50 yards bombs like Purdy did.

He may not have the arm strength like Herbert and some of these guys, but his accuracy and anticipation for short and intermediate passes are as good as any in the league. I don't think he's elite but he's a legit NFL starter. If you don't think so, then I want to see your list for who you consider a legit NFL QB.

The primary issues in free agency won't be there this year. IMO, this situation won't be greatly affected by our 2024 results.

We have a QB, presumably starting at least a few games after the bye.

We have a coaching staff that will be in place for 2025 and almost assuredly for 2026.

Money will NOT be as available, with no huge cap money input this year.

Sheesh. I haven't really thought about a prediction yet, but it seems the possibility the Pats might lose to the hapless Dolphins is a real consideration. That's shocking to me. What will be the dialog - among fans, within the team - if that actually happens? Very strange we must even consider such a thing, isn't it?

I heard that we will have had over 140 million next off season? Is that so.?

It best if we got a 5 to 7 game sample of Drake. As I was saying we need to have him on tape.. it's vital.. going into march of 25. If we have at least that and some film on his bombs to Tyquan and polk.. his deep post to baker.. his escapablities.. how he helps the OL..
